Refreshingly SMART, not strange. The last thing the industry needs right now is somebody making a product that already exists in overabundance just because they can. Why waste any time, effort, and resources on making a DJ frame when you can source it as part of the deal with Spesh and get paid for riding it instead. We should applaud Neko's focus on what's essential here and actually providing some value to the market (the DH bike, in other words), otherwise they'll just turn into the 1547th "by riders for riders" company churning out generic flat pedals and handlebars...

I spent a lot of time on the Enduro and had it set up with an Ohlins coil shock. It worked really well. I then figured I'd throw an Ohlins on my Crestline DH bike. It didn't go so well. The shock seems to have a fairly stiff off the shelf tune. With the Enduro being a higher leverage bike, it makes sense that it worked really well on that. The link for the Enduro shares the same starting leverage ratio as the link for the V4 Nomad, which is 3.7, and a fairly close final leverage ratio (just under...

Local guy here was shilling for them... This is an industry rightsizing at it's finest, bikes with this combination of generic and sub par are indicative of the fat that had developed in our industry over the years.

maybe gwin to yeti isn‘t so far fetched… todd schumlick, who‘s aaron’s and richie’s trainer was managing IFR while aaron was there and will continue managing his new team according to the goodbye-post… and todd is riding a yeti right now, was on an intense before. maybe that‘s too obvious but maybe not Wink

one thing greg said after we were done recording is how stoked he was that the bike has external routing. engineers/team recognized that WC practice time is extremely limited, as we know, and if there's an issue w/ brake or derailleur needing new housing/hose, it's a long process to dismantle/install/bleed/setup with internal routing. if done in a rush, the bleed may not feel the same. norco team will have pre-bleed brakes setup and ready for fast turn-around if needed. for WC level racing, seems like a no-brainer.

Bruni's kit is not made from Dyneema, so your whole argument is stupid.

1- Dyneema has pretty much no stretch at all, this is also one of the reason it's a good material for rope, sails, bikepacking bag and many other use but not for clothing. I am very dubious of your claim that Bruni kit is made 100% of Dyneema. There can be some of it for added abrasion resistance like other some other clothing company are starting to do. 2- Dyneema and other UHMWPE fabric and material are available for purchase by normal people without having US government security clearance. https://ripstopbytheroll.com/collections/dyneema-composite-fabric/produ… 3- For Bruni tightness of his kit, that is up...

Very close to some of my points I've made before in this debate. Keeping the cozy UCI run, RBTV broadcast series was always going to reach a dead end of sorts (probably very soon). In terms of potential for outside sponsorship etc. While things were great for lots of "real" fans. It's clear that the ones who won't now tune in care more for their entertainment than they do the sport. Which is fine of course. But, you can't have the cake and it it and all that. More prize money for riders, more outside sponsors, more professionalism etc... have...

No not surprised at all..humans are like that.. especially in countries like here in US where we have thousands of sport entertainment options on social media, streaming etc. The idea that the racing wasn't "as good" in 2023 compared to 22 is nonsense though. The racing was better by all accounts. And from VDS onwards the coverage was good enough to be worth the money I paid for GCN. Wasn't as good as RB but it's year one. I'm willing to give them a few seasons to sort it out. Some aren't. That's how it is. The top one racers...

in hopes of collecting some insight, i made an instagram story poll about watching live racing - i put it on insta b/c there are more people there and a more diverse group of viewers than in here. not sure we'll get much out of it, but why not? (there were # of character limitations, so i did what i could) https://www.instagram.com/stories/vitalmtb/3258568864509497387/

Seeing as viewing still appears to be very cheap and accessible for Europeans this upcoming season, I don't think the UCI series will tank in the foreseeable future. I could see the majority of North American brands pulling back most of, if not all, of their support in the near future, but the big ones would still provide at least product through their European distributors. If that happens, I would love to see those brands redirect their support to funding grassroots events and trail work/advocacy in North America. I'd much rather buy from a brand that is getting more trail...

I will preface that none of these comments are directed at any specific people in this forum or others, these are my observations based on riding all year, vital, PB, etc. I think it became trendy to hate on the new DH coverage, don't get me wrong there were problems but I felt MSA coverage this year was much better...
