I imagine thet definitely want to reduce entries as last season had highest ever entry numbers for DH. But stopping privateers booking pit space probably has more to do with the increase in the number of UCI teams. Cos if you register as a team then you are guaranteed pit space. So maybe most venues are maxed out? Especially those with enduro?

Few really bad cuts from the action. Especially Blevins attack. Big shame. But overall coverage was good, branding and infrastructure looked pro. Bart's commentary was excellent as always. The racing was some of the best ever. The track was a bit dull overall, but that's the "Olympic effect" I feel, manicured race tracks. Both men's and women's xco were excellent. Certainly no worse in terms of coverage than many if not all the races on RBtv over the years and luckily for us, some of the best racing ever.

I will reserve all judgement until we get WC level riders on the track cutting it up and digging up roots and rocks. This looks like it has some nice natural sections, steeps, off camber, and will cut up to be an interesting track. People wanted to talk down about Loudonville last year but I think it turned into a pretty good race track that racers were happy with.

So today cycling coverage started on Max/BR Sports, I watched stage 1 of the women's Tour of UAE while I was riding the trainer. Seemed like the same GCN/Eurosport crew from the road as last year. Worked great on the Max app on my Apple TV, and a full replay was available, so hopefully the same will be true for XC/DH. FYI, if you have certain mobile phone plans with Cricket and Verizon you can get Max free or discounted.
