7/2/2023 4:27pm Ric is terrible too. He keeps rambling about Mullets - to a paying crowd of MTB enthusiasts. Imagine that. Thank you very much, we all know what mixed wheelsizes are. Just stick to commenting what's happening on screen. And while were at it: The camera work from VDS was absolutely terrible. 50% of the shots were just straight up bad. Weird angles, zoomed in way too much, shaky or showing more of the surroundings or the sky than the riders.

7/2/2023 4:26pm Observations: 1. Getting your 1st 2 hugs by King Peaty & the Goat GM. Talk about a prodigal. Or as the B Podcast called him "typical home school kid". 2. "Black Snake by the throad" "Has the flute to tame the black snake". Somebody make me a list. It had to be 50+ 3. Daprela's back wheel slapping a tree like a fish on the drone cam 4. Can we get the winner a bigger bottle of champagne? Vali NAILED the spray slam at Leogang but the tiny bottle let her down today. Same for Daprela. Need more froth!!! 5...

6/30/2023 9:43pm I've adapted all my bikes to bar height = saddle height and it's working well. I always purchase bikes with ~650mm or stack so it's not too outlandish, throw a set of 38mm rise bars and you are good to go. The E-mtb has a 1340mm wheelbase and a 463mm chainstay so front end grip isn't impacted by bar height. The hardtail is more for comfort. I can ride all day on this thing and my neck/back is fine.

6/26/2023 4:21pm Did it look like this? Then it's just the new Code Stealth brakes released back in March. The calipers are still the same, and they are DOT fluid. https://www.sram.com/en/sram/models/db-code-slv-c1

6/26/2023 4:14pm So eso wants to make some pretty major changes to the sport so it'll more appealing to casual viewers, growing sport, more eyeballs watching.... I don't think many casual viewers end up behind a paywall. I'm not calling bs on you Mike, (I know ball has said those things), I'm calling bs on eso/ball.

6/26/2023 4:14pm Oh and regarding course length/speeds... if you listened to the long form interview with Chris Ball about the future plans of ESO there were some obvious take-aways: -They're not going to cover full runs in 2023, but that's the goal in the future -That goal will be achieved with more cameras, but more importantly cutting the length of the courses down -The courses were not going to be cut/cut much in 2023 -They want to get the finals riders down to allow for more time to show full runs Extrapolating all that, it's clear: -They want to get race times...

6/26/2023 4:13pm Based on Elliot's job in the booth for the Crankworx DH, I think Ric + Elliot would be better than Rob + Gracia. I really like Gracia, but he is just not a thinker/analyzer like Fabien Barrel, Elliot, etc. -Insane DH world cup layoff for 7 weeks in the middle of the summer -- I know worlds is in there, but still, terrible or the sport. -Two more rounds for the EDR?! What a let down/terrible season. Coverage has been so poor this year that it feels like their season just started. And there are two more rounds to go...

6/26/2023 4:10pm After watching Crankworx Innsbruck coverage, I do have to say that I’m missing Warner and Jackson in the commentary booth. GCN/Discovery is starting to have better coverage of the tracks, but between the announcers and the (imo, and Dean’s)) negative track changes I think I enjoyed today’s race more than the last 2 WCs.

6/26/2023 4:08pm for what it's worth, I'm riding a 38 @ 180mm no spacers and 115psi, Even if I lawn dart an 8 foot drop to flat I'll still have 5mm left in the tank. If sag is fine, cut the O-ring off, it should be renamed the anxiety ring.

6/26/2023 3:25pm You've got some good responses here... and I agree with most, if not all of it. That being said, the zeb is more subject to ramp up from air in the lowers then any fork I've used before, that combined with the relatively massive air spring positive chamber volume, can make using full travel a rare event. I have a 21' ultimate @ 170mm, that I've run stock, with a vorsprung secus and now with a vorsprung smashpot. In stock form, it was definitely very hard to get the last 10mm of travel while running the right sag and no...

6/14/2023 5:53pm I don't think I'm speaking out of my ass when I say that Cedric Gracia wasn't as technically savvy of a racer as some would think. Yes, he's French & French team tactics are amazing. But CG is a rogue. I've been there when he raced. I've been talked into stupid lines by him. I've been told my lines were too scary by him (literally...but in a joking manner) only to see him take a WAY scarier line than I would. He's all out talent & a fantastic guy. But I think we need a race tactician in the booth...

6/14/2023 5:53pm Seems to me CG is supposed to be replacing Claudio, and is doing just about as good a job as Claudio was doing. But the story of the race, the tension, the build up of the event, as well as the knowledge of the track and riders, the knowledge of racing, that was all Rob. Ric does not seem to have it. I hope he gets better.

6/13/2023 5:02am I still think there are way too many points for semi’s. I don’t like the fact you can win the race, but if you didn’t have a great semi you might not come out with the most points in the strongest position. It’s more like a 2 stage mini enduro than a one run for all the glory race like it should be. I love the fact there is more to watch as I just like watching racing, but it all being in one day caused me problems, I can’t commit that many hours (family) in one go and as...
