Looks like mechanical cable routing is back - if that is a CC frame. (Fingers crossed)

For the Dolomites area (Canazei/Selva/Ortisei) in early-mid June — if the trails are clear of snow, pretty much everything is rideable even with the lifts closed, as long as you’re happy to pedal the climbs. The Sella Ronda area and the Val Gardena/Val di Fassa trails are mostly natural trails that don’t depend on lift access. You’ll just need enough...

I was OK with the Lewis brakes because of them being pretty open about them reverse engineering the trickstuff brakes and them gradually moving away from that design, but those cranks are ridiculous. Of all the cranks to rip off, why some of the ugliest on the market haha? Just don't get their visual appeal.

It makes very little sense to have the fins integrated in the brake pads and throw them away every time you wear out a set of pads. If you still want fins, doing it the way they did is the best. Having them non removable could be a pain and I see the point BK was making regarding seeing the pistons, having them removable would make it possible to run the brakes without them and causing problems (pistons advancing). But otherwise your comments are very much what is to be expected - haters gonna hate.

Some real strange testing protocols, the main one being testing Hayes with semi-metallic, Shimano with resin and the rest with metallic. You'd think you'd go through all that trouble of using Brake-Ace to draw measurable comparisons you'd at the least run the same ballpark compound (Hayes even includes metallic pads in the box, Shimano metallic pads are easily had). Ideally you'd have just gotten a pair Galfer/Sinter/MTX pads for all brakes where possible. Not sure how the Hayes brakes gets a 7 for bleed procedure. It has literally the same bleed procedure as SRAM (to the point where I use...

"We know our e-bike customers don't care or even know what VPP is so here's a bike that says SANTA CRUZ on it." (Am I too cynical?)

I have a lot of words on this topic. Sorry for the rant. I've had some thoughts bubbling on this for the last few bike rides/travel dates for work/technologically-induced downtimes. The good news is yesterday I stopped thinking about this when I broke a rock with my leg. That's a story for a different time. I work in audio/music. We use A LOT of digital and wireless tools in music recording and live sound reinforcement. They're all "foolproof" and "bombproof" and "will never randomly fail because of the new design" and "just use the app for any adjustments" and "super...

I love the mechanical nature of my bikes and understanding how it works. It’s some how less appealing to me when it all goes into a little black box.

I'm not anti innovation, but I am pro choice. Having choices removed is a step backwards IMO.

I’ve read somewhere that Hightower and Bronson update will come before end of summer. The shock tunnel and bb area will be “pretty” different and something more.
I have hubs with center lock so I skipped Hayes rotors (only 6 bolt) and tried few options: - shimano icetech freeza discs (1.85mm): lacks power and preatty noisy - swisstop catalyst pro (1.90mm back/1.95 front) decent braking performance but warped and deformed a lot! Had to re-center the calipers after nearly every ride when with new brake pads. -...
I had super rattling brake pads on my Dominion, front and rear with T100 pads. I tried a lot of things to quiet down but lastly the only fix I found was putting a really small ziptie around the bolt including the pads spring. This worked really well. Then when I switched to organic T106 brake pads I found out...
