do you guys not see his tires to the left side of the pole in that screen grab? riders can smash through the pole with body and bars all they want, but tires can't break around the point of where the pole is in the ground. angel's do. if that pole was shin-high there wouldn't be a debate, would there? if this was between poles and he brought tires back inside, no issue either, but he's outside the pole, on the pole. the other rule in play here is the protest time period, which is now over apparently. so that...

Yes, they DQ'ed the goat at Monte Saint Anne and Tahnee in Leogang for similar off's.

This is a clear cut DQ. You can't pick and chose when to apply rules and he clearly was on the left side of the tape.

a rider's intention is never a deciding factor. this would be a dq in a slalom run for sure.

But it’s not, as I already mentioned. The link is to the website, not the video replay. The replay is nowhere to be found on the site. Hence, my first post. ✌🏻

Your steeper head angle comment was my main thought in posting this. This whole longer lower slacker movement doesn't work around here, at least not for me. Seems like all these bikes are designed for being out in the mountains where there's ups and downs and cruising into drifty corners and drinking local IPA at the top before smoking a fatty and railing berms, but my trails don't have tops or berms and low speed handling and quickness is the name of the game for me. I just plow through flat fields of baby heads and look for shit off...

every degree steeper has been an enhancement in climbing ability and seated weight distribution for me, so far. that said, my biggest worry about it is knee problems. slack seat angles existed (and still exist on road bikes) so that you don't end up with your knees going too far over your toes.

As someone else that lives out side Seattle I would consider most of Tiger Mountain, Raging River/27, Tokul and other local spots “enduro” style riding. I think when you pedal up then descend down its enduro, I think of trail riding as a little mellower and more rolling terrain. But that could be just me.

I would be really interested to see a test comparing the drag on these hubs compared to the Onyx. Also it should be noted that the Onyx Vesper hub has a claimed weight of 389g which would make the Box is about 22% heavier. Another thing I wanted to point out is about the "sponginess" that you talked about. Many, myself included, see this as more of a feature than a fault. I really like the soft initial feel of the hub. It makes other hubs feel a bit harsh or clunky by comparison now. If that makes sense. If...

Was excited to see the instant engagement title, but my heart sank as I read that Box Components farmed the production out to Taiwan.
