Was excited to see the instant engagement title, but my heart sank as I read that Box Components farmed the production out to Taiwan.

Excellent job with the review! I like the bit about actual seat tube angles. When I took the seat post with saddle mounted, off my 2018 Transition Scout and slid it into my Banshee Rune V3, the difference in actual seat tube angle was immediately apparent. Like my seat was pointing down, way down in fact. Besides the awesome fact that Banshee lists seat angle at different heights, they seem to be coming much closer with the actual seat tube angle, which of course feels great climbing.

that build looks amazing! I have been on the Flexi Bars since November 2017 when they came out and I agree with your thoughts completely. They definitely cut down on arm pump and hand fatigue, which is especially noticeable when riding the Angel Fire Bike Park.

Here are my thoughts: Pro: The elastomers are noticably active in damping the smallest of chatter. Although forks have gotten much better throughout the years, they still have quite a bit amount of static friction. That's why linkage forks are so appealing but as you can tell, are very difficult to get right and even harder to convert the minds of the masses. The new Trust fork is beginning to do that but at $2700, it's definitely not priced for the masses. The Flexx bar certainly doesn't convert your fork into a linkage fork but it does smooth out chatter...

Now if we could figure out how to determine if "shoving your bike across the line helmet down, butt across the back tire" saves time...or loses time. I mean...sure the bike's going forward. But the rider's jumping off the back. I would think unweighting the tires to reduce rolling resistance would be the safe bet.

How about same tyres, say the Assegai exo+, but with variations on PSI (e.g F20 R24/ F25 R30/ F30 R36) Could even try with/without Cushcore to test their claim of better rolling efficiency ?

Little update on the Time S8 pedals. I still really like them, but I will say they struggle some with sandy mud. Slimly mud no, problem. However, I have found they do require some kicking on the pedal to remove heavy mud before clipping in when sand or rocks are present. Kind of same thing with SPD, but in this...
