The highest compliment a topic can get: a stern insistence the conversation be moved out of the Tech Rumors discussion and into its own thread. I feel like I just watched Bearings grow up, go to college, and get accepted to medical school. You'll do great, kid! We're proud of ya'!

I mean Norco could have just said fuck it, the team are 90% of our entire marketing budget. Marketing budgets are huge. They can also work into rider contracts that they have to do x amount of photo/video shoots for product. With everything going on with wb and all the team stuff, maybe they are “buying the dip” and saying fuck it, everyone else is getting out, let’s go all in and that will be our marketing plan. As for canyon, yea they are hurting. They also dropped all their “influencers” and told them all they had to send all...

Y'a plus rien qui va bordel could be translated to everything is going to shit.

I think their finances might be taking a batter(y)ing.

Anna Newkirk confirmed to Frameworks. https://youtu.be/CctoL0aF2Js?si=hOvEqaHvwt_x8et7 Also it looks like they’re on TRP brakes and drivetrain.

With the arrival of 2025 and big changes underway, here's a quick look back at how team and rider numbers have evolved over the years. All data pulled from the UCI website (https://www.uci.org/riders/mountain-bike-riders-teams/1V5hGPnEvXzbIqkjU…). The number of teams peaked in 2023 with a total of 184 (128 standard, 56 elite). 2024 saw the second highest number of teams on record with 163 (112 standard, 51 elite). The bike bubble bursting was already beginning to have an effect going into the 2024 season, even with the upcoming Olympic games. The growth in teams from 2021 (119 teams) to 2023 (184 teams) likely...

Well it's 8.25am January 1 in Sydney, I have a belting hangover. Expecting to see 300 post with new signings, rumours confirmed, ratboy to ride a 3 shocked cannondale. Instead we get Sam Hill riding for his local shop. back to bed

Rocky is off Rocky.

Do all you fellow nerds not listen to Making Up the Numbers podcast?? Cami Balanche to Yeti for DH Breeden’s Intense team to pick up a rider with points to stay on the WC and get EXT into the big show, releases Ryder Lawrence

Benoit posting a teaser to his story

This might not mean much outside the UK but I'd love to know how Greg Minnaar came to be wandering along a street in Birmingham for the Norco clip

Thanks for the kind words. Sincerely appreciated. I also wanted to thank everyone who has taken time to particpate in this thread. In a world full of internet dumpster fires, trolling, dunking and devolving online discussions, at minimum I've found the willingness of the collective to have a meaningful, fun, civil discussion to be worthwhile in and of itself, regardless of how right or wrong we all may be. I don't know much, but I know the more this happens, the better off it appears we all are. HNY everyone! Cheers and thanks!

Hey Jeff, I'm a lurker on this forum, but I wanted to chime in and say I also appreciate your insights in this thread, as well as others who contribute. Its an interesting topic and I love reading about it!

This write-up is a long one that starts with some snark. Sorry. Here's the thing about words: They mean whatever they mean in the context of their use. To quote Run DMC: "Not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good." Just because a word looks a lot like much of "endurance" and a given definition of the word outlined it as "a ... race ... to test endurance" doesn't mean that the mtb race discipline named "Enduro" has to directly reflect the English word enduro to the nth degree. If we're being strict about words does it have to test...

Enduro doesn’t need investment from governing bodies. Nor governing bodies at all, just people with bikes who want to ride a bunch of sick trails with timers. Enduro is a mindset, professional enduro is dead but it was doomed from the start.

Minnaar/Norco just posted this on Insta, about 15 min ago. Let's start the analyzing boys. 3rd one from the left HAS to be Hart, no?

Actually, a lot of WC DH teams are like that.. Pivot and Specialized are both like that. It's more common than you think.

C'mon, at least scan the page before posting....

How has no one posted here in four days? Is the internet broken? Is everybody alright?
