So... In terms of triple headers, this has got to be the best venue on the UCI MTB circuit right? The downhill track is sick, the XC track nearly looked like an enduro track I saw dudes gapping rock gardens on 120/120 bikes... And the enduro looked gnarlier than the DH including a night stage (on maybe the hardest section). Not sure how many other triple headers there are, or even double headers for that matter... But wow this new venue seems to have done everything 'right'

Antoine Rogge was also heli'd off the mountain and might have been unconscious for a while. He apparently has not much recall of the wreck, from his IG: Not what i was expecting for my birthday weekend 💔 From what i’ve been told I took a massive slam in Q1 on one of the fast part of the track.. I’m not able to remember anything for the next 3 hours.. they found a broken vertebrate on my back, i’ll double check at home and let you know what’s next

Good to see Jordan keep it up right off the last drop. Healing vibes to Oscar Griffiths who had a bad one off of it in qualies. According to Ollie M on the downtime podcast he’s in ICU but stable, they will know in a few days.

Interesting how finn and Jordan have stepped up in brunis absence Incredible battles for the win every week. Evidently downhill is now no country for old men

New Men's Elite leader: Amaury Pierron moved into first by 12 points over Finn Iles. Other movement in the Men's standings: Big gainers: Goldstone (up 6 spots to 9th) and Pontvianne (up 6 to 12th). Despite an unfortunate 26th place finish, Angel Suarez Alonzo moved up 8 places to become the highest non-factory rider in the standings in 26th place. Vermette: Finished 2nd but dropped a spot to 4th because Williams pulled off the double (Q1 and Finals wins) and moved up to 3rd. "The Other Alran" - Till - enters the top 10 while Max drops a spot to...

I think it's just a byproduct of going to a monotube with a shimmed base valve, less adjustment range than a twin-tube. The base valve needs to be matched properly with the main piston tunes. New aftermarket 26/27 DHX2 comes with CL70 compression tune, which is middle of the road. Most of the factory OE tunes I have seen seem to be softer. You can definitely feel more oil moving through the system, than the older twin tube DHX2.

As a person in the bike indusrty for 30+ years, Owned a bike store for 6 years, And has owned 5 Yeti's one of which is still my favorite bike my 2021 SB 160E still going strong. Today was eye opening! The MGU and CVT is real. DJI is not a copycat, And will eat the big 3 bikes brands lunch now. And the sixfinaty Yeti pedal bike is around the corner. Weird day..

I think this has made my front tyre choice for bike park season pretty easy. I finally tested the Magic Mary Radial Gravity Ultra Soft against the Assegai DoubleDown MaxxGrip. The Mary was much smoother in the rough, had huge braking confidence, and came out 2.86 seconds quicker in my 15-run comparison. What surprised me most is that I do not think it gives anything away in rolling speed either. It was already edging ahead on the smoother, flatter opening section before grip really became a factor. It is going straight onto my DH bike for the season. I just...

Maybe this example will clarify; If you have a PUSH SV8, and a Fox DHX, it is easier to change the base valve tune on the fully shimmed DHX, and there are many more options available, than the poppet system of the SV8. The base valve on the DHX is comprised of 1/4" ID shims, which are very abundant and easy to source. In addition, a ring shim could be added to provide a pre-loaded setup, again with multiple levels of preload available. The number of potential base valve tunes is numerous; straight stack, preloaded stack, even a cross over...

You'd be surprised. The Surrons around here are decked out in Fox factory, EXT, etc suspension, anodized MTB parts, TRP DHRs, etc. The overlap in customers is significant.

Been following WC DH for 30+ years, this is insane to me. There has always been one rider or even a group that is head and shoulders above the rest on a given weekend. This proves that qualifying for a WC is insanely hard these days. Props to the top 30, but really props to top 50 because one slip in a turn can drop you from 30 to 50. Not sure the correct number for finals for the men and we can argue it all day, but the talent pool is deep and only getting deeper.

Narrow miss here during practice. WB/UCI needs to figure out marshalling, this should never be a possibility.

If you want to browse the full menu of new Deore mechanical groupset + brakes, here are all the deets - https://www.vitalmtb.com/forums/hub/shimano-deore-m7200m6200-mechanical… My initial thoughts without having hands on the product yet: Pricing= good. High potential for a clanking derailleur = bad. New brake lever = clean 🤜🤛
