Right on. Reading about them here and on pink bike have made me get really curious about them and now I want to make one for myself. What materials are they making the sprung weight out of? The Countersycle on is either 350 or 550 grams. 550g in that small of a package is pretty crazy, it would have to...

Does a tuned mass damper really do all that much in MTB applications though? The motion of a bike isn't very consistent, so the vibrations will vary a lot.

A Horst link is also a Virtual Pivot design, but it's not a "VPP TM" design. Any bike that uses two links, connected to a member that the rear brake and axle are connected to is a 4 bar and a virtual pivot. VPP, Horst link, DW Link, the layouts that We Are One and Prime use, Breezers M link...

Could be the en-PON-ification of Santa Cruz. Deepening of the influence by the corporate overloads. Or maybe SC just like the tire and got a good cost for them. I’m running the Albert Gravity as a front, I like it aside from it running real narrow for a 2.5. Edit: the maxxis WT 2.5 is my gold standard.

I mentioned the boring thing before. It wasn't meant to be comment on looks or how different a layout is, though homogenous looking bikes are boring too haha. It was more about the ride feel, the kinematics, wheel path, leverage ratio, how those are all combined. I've ridden 4 bar bikes that are really fun, responsive, fast, and provide good...

Yeah, I thought they had the exclusive license to use kashima in mountain bike suspension. I didn't realize that they had done it before but reading a bit into it it wasn't a very durable coating?

D.E.L.T.A. For example is a very plush linkage driven single pivot, plenty playful as well

I might have missed an earlier post in this thread, but what is up with rockshox doing the kashima gold stanchions on their pro bikes recently? Has Fox lost its exclusivity for kashima on suspension or is RS just doing it because of the color?

Single pivots are a lot of fun! Give great feedback and are responsive, even if they aren't always the best under braking or the most plush. Kona does a great single pivot.

It already is, but I don't think it's because it's an objectively better system, it's just easier to tune, predictable, and cheaper to manufacture. At the same time, it's easy for a 4 bar bike to be incredibly mediocre. Non offensive, like oatmeal, but not super exciting. I think that Norco makes a great 4 bar bike, I've really enjoyed...
Inflation is a big factor for sure, but bike prices did seem to out pace the actual inflation rate by a lot. I mean, my 2021 Rip 9 Rdo cost 5300 or so retail when I bought it, with factory suspension, GX mechanical, and pretty decent other parts all around, but in 2022 it was over 6000 for the same...

What materials are you making your frame out of? Just the titanium or other materials too?

I would assume that the women are getting the same ammount of time to go out and build their lines like the men do? I'm interested to see what they come up with, especially since they are getting a new sector for themselves.

Just a thought. I got down voted to oblivion on Pinkbike for daring to say that gearboxes have flaws, and might not be best suited for all applications. My logic was that you are limited in your pedaling efficiency, since you don't have different chain lines per gear that affects your anti squat, and that it would be a compromise...
