2/20/2024 10:20am Haha, the Ripmo AF looks good to me! I love the way Ibis bikes used to look, especially the mojo. The HD6 doesn't do it for me like the Mojo HD 3-5 did, love the ways those look and ride.

That new Privateer looks ok to me. I had a Ripmo AF even though that top tube bend is of the can’t be unseen variety. Performance first, unless it’s got a million bearings in it like the current Enduro. That got old real quick.

I think it looks great, it has everything that "modern mountain bikers" want, external routing, size specific chainstays that are also adjustable, room for a bottle, the right reach numbers, high stack, mixed wheel compatible, but because of that little bend in the top tube...

That looks sweet, how does the shock handle the lateral loading from the clevis link? It has such a small stanchion, I could see flex causing some issues.

1/23/2024 10:25am I'm 6'1, and I like trail bikes with slightly shorter reaches, I was on a large Niner Rip 9 Rdo for a while and that had a 465mm reach, I ran a 50mm stem on it and an 800mm wide bar with 20mm rise, it was very fun and playful. I've ridden bikes with 480 and 490 mm reaches recently...

Looks to be the top dawg for airshocks right now. This is like the autistic savant of air shocks with 'retard strength' levels of manufacturing tolerances, tight! If you have a trunion mounted frame I would highly advise against this air shock, ps. To give you an idea of how badly trunion frames twist/side load shocks under compression look no further than Vorsprung's new coil shock--they won't manufacture it in Trunion due to performance inconsistencies that arise from that mounting standard.
