To upset the guy from earlier, I don't see how this is a beneficial innovation. It is novel for sure, using 1 piece pawls/springs under tension to create "ramped" engagement, but I've never felt like I needed my engagement to be anything more than binary. I would expect this design to feel spongy, kind of like original Onyx sprag clutch...

Not arguing, just curious, but benefit from the extra roll over how? Smoother ride? Able to clean features easier? Is this the same for tight and steep trails?

That would depend on the overall progression of the frame. Higher leverage ratio means easier to get into the travel, essentially it means you have a longer lever arm to compress the shock, more of a mechanical advantage. If it stays higher through the whole travel, and isn't as progressive, like it starts with a 3.5 lr and goes to...
Very true, I would also want to do a stress test on the brakes themselves with alternate fluids in them. Put them through a bunch of cycles moving the fluid through the system to see which lasts longest, find some way to introduce heat into it in a controlled way, probably just at the Caliper side. Even if the the...

I would guess that it has a higher initial and over all leverage ratio so you don't have to run the shock at super low pressures and can tune better using the rebound and compression adjustments.

You can see the differences in the mineral oils between brands too, pour a little out and magura, Shimano, maxima, and finish line oils all have a slightly different viscosity, finish line is the thickest and sram/maxima seems the thinnest to me. TRP/tektro and Shimano are pretty much the same though. I wonder if the different viscosities and frictions are...

We're not talking politics were talking economics haha. I don't think any policy makers, regardless of political affiliation, consider the impact on specific industries when discussing tarrifs like this. They seem to be only thinking of GDP, which sucks for individual people and niche industries.

Having had a shop replace my sram brakes with some maguras before and them not wiping the spilled dot fluid off the frame, the paint issue is real. It totally ate my frames finish away. On the other hand, it's not a super good reason to move away from it entirely. I honestly like dot fluid, and I think dot...

Generally speaking, imposing blanket tarrifs on imported goods without first investing significantly in domestic manufacturing is a really good way to make everything get really expensive really fast. Nothing wrong with wanting a strong self sufficient and independent economy and strong domestic manufacturing, honestly it's better that way, but a tarrif like that is putting the wagon before the horse.

Very badly. Makes all imported frames and parts more expensive, passes on those costs to consumers. Frames and parts in the country are already discounted to sell, meaning they won't be ordering any more at a 10%+ increased price as they can't already move the cheaper ones. A universal tariff is a horrendous economic policy

Are you sure it's actually the CC frame? SC was going to be selling the C frames for the Bronson and Hightower due to the backlash over the CC not having cable routing for a derailleur.

The pad material is attached to the finned portion and that is attached to a separate backing plate on Shimano pads if I remember correctly.
