4/16/2026 10:54pm This has me wondering what a 32" bike with 29" wheels would be like. Thinking it could be Long (CS) / Low (b b) / Tall (Stack)😽 Also 32" means 29+ ain't dead

4/16/2026 3:30pm Huh, I'm not even mad. Unlike mountainbikes, a bikepacking ATB seems like the perfect application scenario for 32" wheels.

4/16/2026 3:30pm Nope. That bike is sick. It's the first one I've seen where I've though "I'm on-board with this 32" thing." Will it fit me? No way. My 30" inseam strikes again. ...but I'd be down to get that sort of thing if it were a 29" setup!

4/16/2026 9:42am If only someone made a linkage that allowed a longer shock to to be run on the Levo and it yielded 170 mm of travel. That would be wild.

4/11/2026 12:18pm The first round of the 2026 iXS European Downhill Cup is taking place in Portugal this weekend. With World Cup #1 just around the corner, there are some Elite heavyweights getting their last cobwebs shaken among a field of regional racers. Rick Schubert cruised the pits to see if there was anything interesting. Lo and behold, there was. A lot of the bikes and brands aren't super familiar to us stateside, so drop your knowledge in the comments.

4/11/2026 12:15pm I know it’s a bit short on travel and many consider it “down country”, but I am sure loving my new Epic Evo. It’s light and pretty damn capable on the trails I ride in Virginia.

4/9/2026 10:15am My buddy asked this morning what I thought about all this stuff, and my response was: this feels like a bunch of marketing numbers BS, like the bad old days when one of the key highlights of a new bike launch was how much it weighed. (Nevermind those numbers were often massaged - I remember instances where there was fine print about it being an unpainted frame, no tubes/sealant, and no pedals.) The power wars feels like it's purely about having a bigger number to have in marketing stuff, to appeal to uneducated consumers... to try to distill the product...

4/9/2026 10:18am Curmudgeon moment incoming, my apologies: This is exactly the reason I don't give a shit about motocross or cars or a million other things. I 100% don't give a shit about numbers. "Oh, but this one can do 150nm of power!" Cool. I don't care. I don't ride a bike looking for the easiest way to do anything. Does it...

4/9/2026 9:55am I think that'll be a popular rig in many parts of the US in the MST timezone, as well as for a number of my fellow northern Midwest folx. Can't speak to the rest of the globe. But I agree, their non-mtb offerings have been pretty damn compelling since the OGs returned.

4/8/2026 11:30am Radial Rock Razor, that would be cool! But there are better tires on the horizon
Trying to determine this tire snapshot from just the side profile is actually pretty hard, especially since we do prototype testing with the Cannondale Factory Team. But i think the boring answer is the correct one in this case, and to me it looks like a Rick. Edit: Found another shot from the same photo shoot. It was a Race Pro Thunderburt... Back to tire school

4/7/2026 10:29am It's almost like they went "let's make a competition Phil Atwill would win and then see if he wants to fly over from Greece." I love watching him ride and I think he's a great get for the series. I was already planning to watch but now I'm extra curious to see how Phil, Luca Cometti, Kyle, Eddie, and Tegan...

4/6/2026 11:24pm Caveat: I don't know anything. I ride a short travel trail bike and I've not been in mtb for very long. I've ridden lots of bikes for a long time but I'm only 3 years and 2 bikes into the whole mtb thing so my experience is limited. ...but I think the idler solves more problems than just pedal kickback...
