Overheard at the finish line: He had a tip over in practice and put his arm out to catch himself and his shoulder dislocated a bit. He tried to give it a go in finals but was just too much pain.

This is exactly what I figured happened for me. I'm guessing the hanger wasn't all the way tight. Axle went in and took up all the space it was taking up but then kept spinning which tightened the hanger and pulled the hanger threads for the axle away from the axle stripping those bad boys out. I imagine that some...

I had an axle not want to come out a while back. I noticed something felt off in the back. I went to back the axle out and remove the wheel to investigate and nothing wanted to move. Luckily, I had accidentally left my "shop cut them too short on accident" extra handlebars in my car. Bike upside down; 6mm...

Aletha Ostgaard goes 1st in women's Seeding at US Nationals by almost 4 seconds over Kailey Skelton, with Maylei Leaneagh in 3rd. In men’s Seeding, Ryan Pinkerton, Bode Burke and Nate Kitchen finished 1/2/3, with Ryan just 0.099 second ahead of Bode. The top 10 were separated by just over 5.1 seconds. Finals should be quite a race. Full results are available at https://www.prodownhillseries.com/timing . [Edited to include men's top 3 info.]

"Do you really have to swap seals every 100h?" I don't know. I DO know that I don't want to do that, though! So I tend to reach down once or twice per ride and wipe the dust off my fork stanchions. I figure if I do that then there's less material coming into contact with the seals, less material...

DontWorryImAPilot Added a reply to Does anyone actually believe T Type shifts under load better?

7/20/2026 2:51pm

I believe it was Jesse Melamed (correct me if I'm wrong, JM) who said he would shift to the next gear while stationary in the start gate because the shifting-under-load was so good. He would start in a slightly easier gear which allowed him to accelerate up to speed faster and then the gear would shift cleanly and he'd be...
