On the topic of highly competitive national championships, the French just duked it out for sleeves and honors in Les Menuires; one look at that start list and you feel like you're at a World Cup trying to qualify. Congrats to Marine Cabirou, Nathan Pontvianne, Ava Chaumet Lagrange and Sacha Brizin!

Very cool that the French Nationals results look so well-organized, and, more importantly, that they show each athlete's sponsor, no matter how "big" the sponsor is (I'm guessing that "Riding Family" is a mom / pop).  It used to piss me off when I win / podium a race, and the race promoter's would omit my sponsor's (typically a bike shop) name from a results page--especially when...position 9 would have their sponsor listed because it was more important (a bike brand or something cooler than a bike shop).  Well done, France.

Since she started backing me, it's been very rewarding for both parties.

Neither of my moms would be interested in that.

Quentin Barbe Vs Nano Lavergne is going to be tight next year, only injury has prevented us from seeing that in the European U17 races this season and Lucy Jenkins Jablonsky is going make a huge impact. Roll on '27!

Does anybody know what happened to Bode Burke's shoulder in his final run at National Champs?

Must have been a pre-existing issue, because he didn't seem to crash in his run ,but he still pulled over mid-run with his shoulder too messed up to ride.

Overheard at the finish line: He had a tip over in practice and put his arm out to catch himself and his shoulder dislocated a bit.  He tried to give it a go in finals but was just too much pain.

The dull ache. Walk around for a day with your elbow tucked in. Empty the dishwasher with your other hand. Watch out when you wake up, that’s when it’s loosest. Feels okay in the shower, until…dammit why did you get so wild on the towel-off?—you know that’s dangerous! Maybe sit up a little straighter on the drive out there, yeah you can kinda just make sure to heel it tucked a bit. Still strong. Got this. Just take it sorta easy and we’ll break out the stretchy bands again on Monday. Of course. This’ll never happen again. Duh. oh well it’s not that bad. Kinda got lucky, really. It’s actually a good thing, a bit of a reminder.

Drop in slips again dammit this is real.

Shoulder Guys saw it right away and you KNOW I got the stretchy bands out too
