Just read on the news outlets that 6 different posts above me are reporting Rocky Mountain has filed for bankruptcy protection. I hope things continue to be posted above and below me.
I completely agree with the alcohol. For the past decade or so I had always traded on and off weed or booze. Recently with property taxes due I had to get my finances in order and I completely cut out both. Now two months later I am convinced alcohol is poison. No amount is healthy and provides absolutely no benefits to your health or life.

Snails and Pernod? Anyway, there's an Atherton vid talking harder about family than Dom Toretto, except it's about Kolb and Charlie, which can only mean one of two things: either they're staying, or they're leaving.

Yeah unsurprisingly when you outsource all of your technology production for 30 or 40 years, those people get really really good at it...... especially when it comes to manufacturing something to a price. I'm sure a lot of western companies could build a great competitor to DJI but it might cost about three times as much! Are people willing to pay that much for something just because it isn't Chinese? We also forget that products made in China aren't sometimes bad because of where they are made, they are bad because they were made to a spec and a price...

Nothing against your comment, but just reading that, and then realizing that this forum is discussing advancing ways to make bikes more electronic just made me shudder a little.

Missouri is truly it's own category. You think it's the Midwest until you go somewhere like Milwaukee, then you realize it's definitely more "southern" ... Then you go somewhere like central Arkansas and realize it's not the South, either. It really is a mix, and where I live was the population center of the USA in the 1980s and I would say, culturally, that's what you get. We definitely have the sad, flat trails. But we also have some gruesome granite. But things are getting better all the time. When I moved back to MO in 2017, I longed to...

A wirelessly actuated linear servo placed near the BB shell. Think Di2 battery form factor. A beefy 21700 cell that lasts half a riding season and a charge port accessible through the in-frame storage box. Backup option is a charge plug coming out of the frame port. Compatible with all wired dropper posts. I might be working on something similar 😉

Our trails here are pretty flat so it was more an effort to commiserate than to judge. I half-assumed when you mentioned midwest that it'd be "midwest" as I understand it. I'd love to hear about whatever you have going on down there!

You might be disappointed then! Lol. We talk about Shepherd Mountain a lot, and those are the gnarliest trails anywhere between Windrock and Keystone. It's only 600 ft of vert, but it's the gnarliest 600 ft you'll find anywhere.

IIRC no one even knows if Enduro will have UCI points (this season it didn't except may for Worlds?) so I can't see teams committing limited budget in the hopes that it will next season. (Maes has proven he can be competitive in DH so that seems like less of a risk).
