Yoooo! Always stoked to see more people get into this world of two-wheeled stuff! Especially this mountain biking side; the obviously superior two-wheeled pedal machine! I'm NOT someone who knows much about bike fit. In fact, I may have gone with a slightly too-small first bike and now - on my second - I think I have some sizing and...

Hard agree T-Bot. Sorry, long post. I type a concise thing that - upon a quick proofread - is non-understandable unless you're actually sharing my brain. The attempt to explain sets my fingers out on on a keyboard dance marathon. Still probably incoherent but at least out of my head rather than in. Hardtail Party, MTB Alan, Skills with Phil...

Plus, if they have built up a big enough following on YouTube, the checks from that can be decent.. Remember, when the Diamondback deal ended for Seth, he didn't try to get another bike sponsorship.. But, he's figured out ways to get money out of this..

Bigger tires generate more grip via a bigger contact patch, and bigger tires also have a mellower impact angle on sharp things. Also, as many have observed, by having your front and rear axle at different heights, you've changed your "endo angle" on the front of the bike to make it more stable, while keeping the "wheelie angle" on the back of the bike lower and more dynamic for body english in turns and on jumps. The best of both worlds.

A while back I proposed some magazine editors do a test to compare an aluminum-frame-with-carbon-wheels vs a carbon-frame-with-aluminum-wheels. I think they made some progress but changed jobs before concluding/writing/publishing.

another thought i had..... having a discount from that program could possibly be used to give the sponsors a way to more directly quantify the amount of sales they are getting via their sponsorship via that program

Not necessarily bike innovation...but bike culture/enjoyment/spectating innovation, I think. I'd be curious about how those purchases need to be made. Maybe that's in the T&C. I probably can't walk into a bike shop and show them my login credentials and get 35% off a OneUp carbon bar. If those purchases are made directly from the manufacturer then a 35% discount...

I really thought they were possibly a good option and at some point was going to look into pricing and availability. I've only really been paying attention to the reputation of the products and not looking at prices because I know they'll change and I don't have a need for wheels yet. Sure, I'll look at your bridge if I'm...

Nobl rims are made China so price is going up for US customers regardless of them opening a sales office in the US.

...and everyone called me stupid and said I was overreacting for stretching a bit and buying a bike pre-election because I knew what was going to happen with these tariffs. Of course, I'm not a bike company but I'd hate to be shutting down my riding because I couldn't deal with the tariffs. I was looking to WR1 for new...

OnlyMotion has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their electronic conversion kit for mechanical droppers. More info - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/onlymotion/worlds-first-electronic… I know this concept was discussed a few pages ago. I appreciate the effort to create something that doesn't exist. I also don't mind the extra cable at my cockpit for a mechanical dropper. I guess if you really want electronic/wireless without having to run the new gen of wireless droppers that look terrible with the battery at the collar, this is for you haha

A Youtube channel called Spindatt used to be way more active but has tapered off a bit with injuries. He has a Marino bike that has seen a few different iterations. I think currently he has it set up as a singlespeed park/trick bike but he's had a pretty good opinion of it for a while now. He worked with...

Not sure how well the transmission derailleurs plays with the last gen eagle casettes. But a X0 or XX casette is right at 380 grams, an XX SL is 346 grams, so about 200 grams lighter than the SX casette linked earlier, but the SL one is VERY expensive, even at discount. Im actually considering going fully battery free on my Enduro and "downgrading" to one of these derailleurs when they come out
