If you need a guy from the midwest/plains states trying to ride XC trails and livestock/wildlife trails aggressively and - consequently - crashing pretty often but not that hard...I'm your guy! If you would award bonus points for being a higher-than-average sweater and much-higher-than-average salt content in that sweat then I'm getting a dripping helmetload of bonus points. Practically on command, I can sweat on it with a sweat salty enough to bleach a black shirt as I REFUSE to brake for one particular nemesis of a flat corner that bounces me off the trail once a week!

I'm working on my own lap timer iOS app and handlebar mounted bluetooth button called Cyclaps. The bluetooth button mounts on your handlebars and communicates directly to the Cyclaps app to start/stop timing and mark segment times. Just hit the button on your bars next to your thumb. It can be MUCH more accurate than any GPS and you can...

brianroelofs Added a comment about press release Updated MTB HYDRO Pack from USWE

Still needs a waist belt. I had a USWE pack and, regardless of what they advertise, it bounced up-and-down a lot on rough terrain or jumps. Comfortable otherwise. A waist belt would solve this.

I always thought wireless shifting & droppers were a silly waste of money until I got a frame with headset routing. Headset routing is so incredibly bad- not only is it a nightmare that takes 4x as long to route as normal internal routing, it compresses the cable housing reducing performance, your headset creaks no matter what you do, and two differen models of dropper have had problems with the cable housing requiring me to do the whole hour long process over and over again.

I thought frames with headset routing were potentially silly until I learned I could spend $500 on confusing diodes

How many race runs are going to end in that first rock garden right out of the start gate?

All the fast bits but also awkward tech and a steep section... Lenzerheide looks better than ever!

IMHO, the fact that no other riders made this mistake sure makes it seem like MVdP's fault. Disappointing, though. I wanted to see him battle Pidcock for the victory.

Mathieu van der Poel crashed and went over the bars on the Sakura Drop (about a 5ft drop to a downslope) at the Olympics yesterday. The link below has his version of the story: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/olympics/mathieu-van-der-poel-crash… I've seen various posts and comments on other mtb sites and on social media that what happened to MVdP should be blamed on the organizers, commissaires, UCI, his coach, teammates, and everyone else except MVdP. Here are a few key facts: • The ramp was placed during practice sessions for safety reasons so that a rider who made a mistake during practice could...

Burgh Liked a comment about Feature A Saddle with Shock Absorbers? Vital MTB Gear Show

Although my Turbine R wheelset isn't by any means cheap, I can't see the carbon hoops providing a noticeably better ride for $500 more initially at almost 100 grams heavier in 27.5. Plus that's enough coin for a bike yoke dropper and this new saddle. That said I prefer the 135mm wide WTB volt saddles over the course of several decades of riding, so I'd be interested to know how the 130 version of the bike yoke saddle compares in the comfort department, if anyone has rode on both. On a different note, kudos on the sick manual skills. Looks...
