11/2/2023 2:39am Are we all pretending that Kenda cut THAT big of a check to AG? I seriously doubt it. The irony of AG selling a brand is that the brands get some marketing traction, but they almost get too much singular attention for ANYTHING good or bad to do with him. A dozen Maxxis riders could come rolling down on flats and nobody immediately points out it's the failings of the brand & not a line or setup by the rider. AG comes down on a flat Bontrager, Specialized, Onza, Kenda or Vee....it's witch hunt time.

10/25/2023 3:33am This is an important question, but also where some of the less well-understood aspects of suspension geometry come in to play. So what seems like a negative if you were looking at a conventional fork is actually improved in linkage designs. Brake dive - this will come as a shock to no-one but telsecopic forks are extremely pro-dive, so hitting the front brake will cause more of your weight to act down on the fork. It can be measured the same way as frame anti-squat and you can easily be looking at values close to negative 100% anti-dive and this...

10/25/2023 3:32am I feel the need of slacker head tube angles to be a part of generating stability by lenghning the wheelbase. Some cargo bikes have a front wheel setup like a caster wheel and works just right. Structure cycleworks is the mtb that comes to my mind when linkage systems is used on the front. Everyone that rides that, is amazed by the feel, sensitivity, anti-dive, but my point is that the steering contact point is decoupled from the steering angles that dictates head angle and trail numbers. Since trail is the number one element that keeps the bike straight and...

10/25/2023 1:21am Continuing on: Stock bike front suspension has two main sources of compliance....the first being the front tire....if in doubt of this over inflate your front tire and ride it.....the second source of compliance is the regular telefork....and the telefork is a compromise between compliance on small bumps and large bumps etc.. whatever bump forces/acclerations that are not absorbed by these two are transmitted into the bike/rider. My Dual suspension system introduces a third level of compliance....the link suspension.....being a link suspension it is very sensitive/compliant.....forces/accelerations not absorbed by the tire/telefork are then further absorbed by the Link suspension. Add to...

10/25/2023 1:17am yeah if this setup catchs on it will keep the "how do I " Forums going for years :-) This adds another dimension to setup possibilities and less compromise in tuning options....in my experience once you have a solid foundation on what it takes to make it work/how it works....its relatively easy.

10/5/2023 5:40am While the racing has been amazing, the coverage has not been better. The coverage has been worse. More cameras does not necessarily mean better coverage--the drones are not a positive addition, and camera placement and operation has been less optimized than those heady RedBull days--and the commentary contributes less information and narrative to the event. It's a downgrade, and we're supposed to pay for it. I think what funktekk wrote above about the TdF makes a lot of sense. Perhaps mountain biking just got caught in the middle of a deal that has nothing to do with it... Disco/WillyBilly don't...

10/5/2023 5:33am You have to hand it to the ESO, they wanted only the top 30 qualifyers to go to finals .But knew everyone would throw a fit. So they introduced Semis knowing it would be a sh1tshow and now everyone is demanding they get rid of semis. Proper 3d chess!

10/5/2023 12:23am Here's a 🪞 for your thoughts. Imagine thinking a land slip is related to some climate agenda instead of direct ground works going on in the area... yep.. that's the literal definition of dead in the head 🤦♂️🤔😂😂

9/27/2023 8:52am Geez what is wrong with kids these days youve got to try and convert me to your fairy land. My opinion and actual facts (that I care less about DH this year than in past)are just that. I don't care for the changes, why do I have to get on board with them I don't like it, happy to admit...

9/26/2023 7:34pm It's not a protest it's just the logistics of watching a now convuluted event with semi and final times for both men and women compared to before where you could set a reminder on red bull , turn up to your lounge room and watch... it was simple, quality and free..I'm definitely not a fan of the qualify then have...

9/25/2023 10:32pm I commented on every UCI enduro post I saw on instagram this year, and that was about 4 comments in total. I had no idea who was even leading half way through which I usually know to the minute. I couldn't care less this year. DH I was a bit more involved in because they bothered to post anything.

9/25/2023 6:47pm both Enduro and DH UCI series lost our whole household this year... got heaps of other stuff done, caught up on some results... thats about it...media companies will always find spin to say that their viewership is up, everything is up.. but it isnt, so many seasoned viewers are going, gone. the $$ go with them.
