Not sure if anyone saw but it was revealed in the Wiggle bankruptcy/administration (whatever the blokes call it in the UK) that Sam Hill is listed as a Creditor. Looks like he's owed about 40k from Nukeproof, not a good look.

I have to assume that it became a bit more difficult with the hall/gwin arrangement now that they live so far apart. Hall is right next to Intense. I have to also imagine that being a WC mechanic and at every event team manager is a young mans game (at least once you have a family). It would make sense for Hall to want to step into a more influential role at a bike brand if given the opportunity.

My predictions on the Intense Factory Racing situation: -Dak to MS Intense -Gwin sticks with remnants of IFR and does race. Frame sponsor for renamed IFR team also gets rentals at Windrock. Gwin looks for a new number 2 (to replace Dak) and finds there are a lot of options…

That's all good and well but lets face some facts here - Cube bikes are junk (I worked closely with the brand at a distribution level), the kinematics were average at best and the frame failure rate we saw was out of control, more than 50% of carbon bikes sold came back with cracked frames and they were horrendously slow with turnaround time on replacement frames, always looking for excuses. Saracen is a walmart/whatever brand so no matter the caliber of the rider you'll never get results riding a piece of crap down the hill. Personality or not, Danny Hart...

her race results are nothing special, the Welsh enduro series is a very small regional series with little exposure having 30k or however many followers she has is a lot of reach for some brands. however if a company gives a frame to a rider and a social media person posts about it being good for free then that’s a easy business decision. most social media people are just cheap advertising methods for big conpanies. if you post about a product and use hashtags your basically doing free advertising for a brand. your part of the problem, why would a...

I was talking about on the commercial side. Both disciplines share a lot of the same brands. Also, one half of the season the motor folks run outdoors on "natural" terrain tracks much like DH does. So, again, commercially whether it's the television/streaming side or venues and attendance maybe there are some things both could learn from each other. Amazing how ignorant and closed minded people can be about what they love. Personally, I would love to see and maybe this does happen and I do not hear about it.
