Old person here. Rampage is too groomed. It's so 'mid' now. 90ft jumps are not the norm for pro's......not even the darkfest crew. I know some of the 'boyz'. Most of them are scared shitless. *You're The event is owned and run by RB. The diggers (some of the Dyfi crew) are contracted to build/maintain the course. Dh is a minority sport.....but that does'nt mean that there should be a high chance of death for a minor mistake. Both Bk's and Jims jumps could have gone very, very, very badly wrong. It's bike racing.....not Beyond Thunderdome (ask your Dad). I'm going back to my...

i take back "the jump works" statement i made above. i had seen matt jones clip the other day (different angle). after watching bernard (one of the best jumpers on the planet?) and then jim's compression, clearly it's not a good jump. jim got pummeled. hope he's ok long-term. that was a severe hit to the head.

AFAIK there has never been coverage of qualis. Pretty shit that they've dropped the semis coverage though, I didn't tune in to many of them last year as I found it was too much to view in one day, but I had thought I'd be more interested to watch this year as they're a day earlier. Now there's no coverage it makes them seem more pointless than ever.

If the semis concept was not pointless enough, the lack of coverage makes the whole thing just silly. It's beyond me the number of riders who will return home on Sunday after a very expensive trip with almost no trace of coverage (thank god for the RAWS and several vlogs on YT) Also, as an spaniard, I still don't know how am I going to watch the race. Best bet right now is a replay on Eurosport on monday, probably with terrible spanish commentary. This is just wrong.

Definitely should avoid even the appearance of home cooking…if it’s taped for the race, it should not be open until track walk. Cmon now. Also: in Maven / brake pad compound discussions, I’ve heard that these guys won’t touch the brakes for like the first minute of Ft William track—anyone have some insight into that? It’s unbelievable, but I could believe it. When would that first real lever pull be?

From fellow Italian Davide Palazzari. I agree practicing on an officially marked course is a bit weird. Only person I saw doing it was Dan Slack from his own IG but it could be more people.
