No Doubt... to be honest winning an enduro is still like a tree falling in the woods... Cody is viable on his potential reach to fans, maybe more viable than the "winners"... put some resources into him and the impact for a brand who can support him to create content and grow his reach can be significant...

Since the inception of the EWS, there's been only 15 male winners. 6 of those have only won a single race. 6 of the 15 are retired (or at least not racing most of the calendar). So you only have 9 active winners, 6 active repeat winners. To suggest that these are the only riders people have heard of is ridiculous. Furthermore, in terms of reach, one of those active, repeat winners has less than 10k IG followers. Another has just 21k. Cody Kelley has 2.5x more IG followers than these two COMBINED. And in terms of actually selling bikes...

And Cody has a picture or more in each race report because he is so stilysh. That also counts. I think Specialized did well. Also, them having a reputation of beeing rather uptight and uncool, it is good if they have some cool talent on the rooster.

The man is a wizard on a bike. Companies could care less if an athlete actually wins a race as long as they have good results, and can make rad films featuring their bikes. Even just having a stylish pro on the team drastically increases bike sales because people want to ride a bike that allows them to ride like _____(insert pro’s name here). Now let’s stop criticizing Cody for “not winning an EWS Race” He helped win trophy of nations, the fact is, keeping up with Richie is nearly impossible. He has also won a ton of national level...

Didn't Cody Kelley win the EWS Trophy of Nations? I think that's winning a race... And the man is a champion on riding style. All those comments diminishing him just seem mediocre to me.

You do not need UCI points to race at a World Cup round. Anyone with a USA Cycling international pro license ($225 I think?) can race if they submit a petition to USA Cycling and are accepted onto our "National Federation Team" for the event. Racing for the federation means you have to qualify and race in "The Jersey," your national federation's ugly jersey that has none of your sponsors' logos on it. We are not a racing brand but even for what we are looking for, finding a girl that has a decent level, and that is engaged in the sport is very very difficult.
