I've noticed a few quick shots on social media the past few weeks of what looked to be a new Maxxis spike tire, but couldn't tell for sure. Here's a better view.

There are basically 3 properties with tubes: OD, ID, and material. If you want to make it stiffer you can increase wall thickness or material, but since we are talking about aluminum (probably 7000 series or 6069, but probably 7000 series) then material doesn't matter as it's likely the same. Aluminum has an optimal wall thickness to diameter ratio for strength but if you are changing the diameter then your design goals are probably one or more of the following: 1. Increase strength, and by strength I mean deflection under load ([b]which can also be accomplished by changing the wall...

Can someone with an eBike help me understand this ad from ODI? Why in the hell do they need to advertise that grips are eBike compatible? They're grips....that go on the same handlebars found on regular and eBikes.

Great job. Surprised how heavy all of these bikes are. Though I'm the first to admit weight is far from the biggest part of the equation, it is a bit of a bummer none of these fell into the 27-28lbs range at $5K. Though I love the short travel feel for a lot of trails, another huge benefit is how great a shorter travel bike climbs (in part due to weight) and how if you buy the right one they are a formidable XC race choice. Guess that's the upside to a bike like my Trek Top Fuel!

Just because you bought an Ebike, doesn't mean everyone stopped racing motocross. I could see off-road moto dying though, that wouldn't suprise me as much as actual MX. There was a bitchin electric MX bike a few years ago, it was called Alta MX or something and it was downright competitive with a 250F. The powers that be said no and the company eventually failed, so we will see gas powered motocross until the sport dies I think.

I watched the video a few times. There's a lot said and a lot to address, but I'm going to just respond to the points pointed out by Vital. 1)Do eMTB’s do more damage to trails than regular analog pedal bikes? Joe cites that there has been very little, to no real, research done. While he feels the impact is no different from a regular mountain bike, data talks and BS walks. - The problem is, so many eMTB haters prefer to judge ignorantly than to actually comprehend any data presented to them. A lot of eMTB haters bring up...

Yes they are good value (don't read as "cheap) but there must be a reason a good amount of WC Privateers are using them, They would be using the bike they believe would provide them with the best result, price not been a factor.
