That's actually one of my favourite parts. I love the "open" part of Crankworx racing. Pros vs Joes For example, I can say I once beat Cedric Gracia in the Garbo DH back in the day. He had a front flat in the first minute of his run and continued to the bottom on it instead of getting a DNF. I beat him (by less than a minute). Truly the pinnacle of my otherwise inauspicious racing career.

more on chain slap and i feel more easier to pedal due to the jockey.. need some fine tuning so that it won't drop the chain when jumping and rocky section..

Brage should pick up a page from his countryman, Isak Leivson and start garage building his own bikes. Those long summer nights aren’t just good for digging!

Correct. Growing up racing DH in Oregon we used to chop holes and whoops in the dirt to make our practice tracks rougher. There are rough trails in Oregon, but for the most part trails in Oregon get smoother over time. Not so in most of Washington and California. Just something about the clay and lack of rocks in the Willamette Valley. That said, digging dirt jumps and berms in the Portland area is like cheating. A land of milk and honey for digging, where you stick your shovel in the ground anywhere and immediately find gold. Miss that.

When I started this thread years ago (under an old username that I got locked out of... Still bummed about that @sspomer ) I never would have imagined to surpass 100 pages, let alone a thousand! Since I started the thread as a senior in high school, I have gone from a shop rat with too much free time to an industry employee who is bound by NDA's. I've had to keep my mouth and keyboard quiet on a ton of subjects, some of which have been pretty accurate to the ideas tossed around! I hope someday bike companies will...
