At the heart of the range are two all-new frames that have been intentionally designed to look strikingly similar. The alloy model has been developed with a new manufacturing partner whose heritage lies in producing intricate castings for the automotive industry. More recently, they have produced precision components for some of the biggest names in cycling, but together we have pushed that expertise even further by developing tube shapes that closely mimic the appearance of our moulded carbon frame.
Both frames feature Nukeproof's signature single piece suspension linkage, which differentiates them from many traditional four-bar suspension designs, while increasing stiffness between the front and rear triangles. Internal cable routing has also been carefully engineered using a tube-in-tube system to ensure servicing remains simple and mechanic-friendly.

Once the frame characteristics and travel category had been established, selecting the motor and battery system became the next priority. Avinox was the logical choice due to its outstanding blend of power, weight, range and compact packaging – and let’s not gloss over the overwhelming demand from both riders and dealers. We wanted the Kilowatt to look and ride more like our analogue bikes than any e-bike we have previously produced, and the Avinox system—with its relatively compact battery options—allowed us to achieve exactly that.
We selected durable, high-quality parts specifically suited to e-MTB riding for Kilowatt, including SRAM Maven brakes across three models and DB4’s on the opening price Kilowatt Alloy Comp. We have DT Swiss e-bike wheelsets on the carbon models, and Schwalbe gravity-ready tyres throughout the range, with radial construction featured on the carbon models.
All models feature a non-removable 800Wh battery, with the exception of the small frame, which uses a 600Wh battery due to downtube length constraints. The decision to use non-removable batteries was based on our own experience of riding e-bikes and our desire to achieve the cleanest possible frame design.
Every model is powered by the Avinox M2S motor, except the opening price Kilowatt Alloy Comp, which features the Avinox M2 at just £3,999/€4,499, with Nukeproof remaining committed to delivering some of the best-riding bikes on the planet at a price more riders can afford. Both carbon models are supplied as standard with a 12A fast charger.
