12/15/2025 10:02am I believe the two "oldest" bikes on the market right now are S Enduro (2020) and Banshee Titan (2019) and they are both still perfectly relevant going into 2026... I'd say Titan became even more popular as the time went by which is pretty funny in modern times but I'd say there are more and more of us who dont really buy into latest trends of blingbling marginal gains and are perfectly happy with a simple, capable, reliable and affordable bike and Banshee ticks all of those.

12/15/2025 7:02am TRP / Maven update. I rode Santa Cruz with the Travens today. The total power on tap with the TRP lever is similar to with the XT lever. The bite point feel with both is relatively solid. The TRP does have more modulation though. It’s easier to lock up a wheel with the XT lever - very little force needed. The TRP lever has exceptionally light pull, but it does have a longer lever throw compared to the XT (or maven lever). The best feature of the TRP is that there is no brake pump / wandering out bite point...

12/13/2025 9:12am I don't know if you're just being sarcastic and already had an answer in mind, but "what happened in 1970" is one of the most hotly contested questions in macroeconomics. Was it automation? Globalization and trade? Women entering the workforce en masse? Taxation and income policy? New capital markets? Money in politics? Greater reliance on government deficits? Answering this question is super important for raising the quality of life of the median person, but unfortunately if you ask two macroeconomists right now you'll get five different answers, and no one's really winning the argument. I have an opinion on the...

12/13/2025 8:43am For what its worth I also had a maddening wandering bite point issue on my mavens; took a really good bleed and its been remedied. Bleed quality is everything.

12/9/2025 1:46pm Yup, this thread is what brought me to Vital. So far I've just enjoyed reading, but with the impending closure, I decided it was worth making an account to cast my vote for annual versions of the tech-rumors thread.

12/8/2025 5:36pm Weirdly, Dario referenced this on the PB podcast that I just this second listened to- he speculated that there could be pressure from DW himself that pushes bike companies into shorter chainstays. Something like them just working better with his designs. It was just speculation though I think.

12/8/2025 8:31am Same here, recently bought the new ZEB and absolutely love the feel of it. Most likely switching my 40 out for a Boxxer based on the feel.

12/8/2025 8:19am I asked about FA Vivid air and coil when it first appeared on the RS site earlier this year. Was told OEM only. But I don’t think I’ve see a single bike released with it… maybe that’s about to change?
