1/20/2026 7:44pm If designed to the same max load, a 35 mm bar is approximately 10% stiffer. The required cross sectional area of the 35 mm bar is also smaller, so it would be lighter. Below is an example where the bar is evaluated as a basic cantilevered beam where the length is 400 mm and the load is 450 N. r1 and r2 correspond to the 35 mm bar and r3 and r4 correspond to the 31.8 mm bar.

1/20/2026 4:57am Make the transition to Shimano levers and Maven Calipers. Or, wait for Sea Otter maybe? Think SRAM could be announcing some changes to the lineup and some new shiny products then.

1/20/2026 3:45am Who needs tooling? OEMs. Intend are boutique and have a low sales volume compared to Manitou, Suntour, Rockshox and Fox.

1/20/2026 1:18am i dont know how things play out for Ed... But if this means no WynTV and no Ed Bull Media House next year... as well as a limited Vital Raw schedule again? we're up a certain creek without a particular paddle ideal scenario would be wyn and ed teaming up, figuratively and literally, and being able to cover the races with each other. wyn more on interviews and ed more on riding. i dunno... a man can dream

1/20/2026 1:17am Respectfully, it's been around since the beginning of MC outlaw and backyard chopper culture. Independent Trucks in skateboarding too since forever. West Coast Choppers is unoriginal and lame.

1/20/2026 1:16am As mentioned, there is an Orion sticker inside the rear triangle in the third spy shot. Esker puts their logo there on other models.

1/19/2026 7:04am I'm only calling it DHF2 since some industry elites were calling it this year in Whistler. That said, with its braking chops, it could be the new DHR3. It's a substantially different tire, warranting a new name, but I know you said Maxxis prefers to reuse names to avoid having to trademark new ones, etc. Little doubt that it will be the main Maxxis tire for World Cup racing going forward, though.

1/19/2026 6:00am " Schwalbe needs an Assagai/ Mazza type tread pattern in combo with the radial casing." Haha well, the funny thing about this statement is that the Albert IS a copy of the Assegai tread pattern that Schwabe then neutered by making knobs closer together/smaller/less aggressive. If they added 1-2mm of height to the knobs, spaced them out more, and beefed up the side knobs, you'd have a proper version of the Albert. But the general pattern was copied from the Assegai formula. Just implemented poorly for a shred tire. But well for a trail tire. Agreed on pressures. If you...

1/19/2026 6:00am There is a hole in the lineup though when it comes to radial Schwalbes. The Albert is a killer hardpack/ loose over hardpack rear tire on an Enduro or aggressive e-bike. It even makes an impressive front TRAIL bike tire in hardpack. It also wears really well. But the Albert was fully inadequate for my e-bike up front. The MM Radial is very, very good, but it's still too much a loam dirt type tread pattern for aggressive use up front in hardpack & loose over hardpack. It skates around unpredictably and folds over at times. Schwalbe needs an Assagai/...

1/19/2026 5:58am Good call on the tape to keep an eye on things. The boys at the shop got a little creative and I think we managed to figure something out. Ultimately, the zip ties along the chainstays are a little looser and we've got a bit of extra line routed by the BB to allow a bit of movement. I'll have to keep an eye out to see if rubbing becomes an issue. All that being said, made it out for another ride yesterday afternoon. The GR4's feel amazing. I love the adjustability in the levers. The trail I rode is...
