12/17/2024 10:09am I'd first have to take the time machine back to 1992.... Treat this sport, as a friend, that you can always go back to and ask advice from, and receive therapy from. You will have some really f__king hard days coming in your future.

12/9/2024 9:03am "How come most people/ pros are using metal pedals?" For Pro's it is sponsorship. They dont get sponsored to ride the cheap options. For regular people it is the bling factor IMO. I think a good composite pedal performs as good or better than a metal flat pedal. Its lights, slides over rock strikes making it less likely to catch, and transfers less energy from strikes up to the rider.

12/9/2024 9:03am Metal is stronger than composites, which allows for more elaborate shapes - for example, you can place the pins closer to the edges, or you can use less material over the bearing area which makes for a thinner pedal with better concavity. Composites also tend to be a bit more slippery on the surface. The pins do most of the gripping of course, but when there's a bit of mud build up for example, a composite pedal tends to feel a bit less grippy in my experience. On the flip side, there's a certain comfort factor with composites, as noted...

12/9/2024 9:03am Also when clipping outer edges of a composite pedal on rocks they slide much more easily than alloy pedal bodies do.

10/21/2024 2:36pm Sorry brother but your 6.7lb frame with HEAVY as balls XT alloy wheels and a full XT build kit is NOWHERE NEAR 26.5lbs! You are lucky if that thing is under 30lbs, very simple math actually.

9/16/2024 10:47am Long time mountain biker. Been riding enduro moto for about 7 years now. I was pretty MTB fit when I got my moto. Some of that transferred but a lot did not. They both are cardiovascular intense but require different strengths and different muscles. I was humbled on the moto for several years before I got into some shape. The techniques are vastly different too. Welcome to MTB, it is addicting like moto is and gives a nice change of pace. You will have an advantage coming to MTB. Though jumping a moto and MTB are WILDLY different. Jeremy Martin...

9/16/2024 10:43am Welcome to the fold. I used to consider MTB just a cross training tool for my MX racing as well, but now it's another passion. You may feel the same before too long!

9/16/2024 10:42am I have been extremely humbled. I recently got my first mountain bike. I’ve always ridden moto and offroad type racing. (Dirtbikes) I’ve skated, skied. I’ve always looked at MTB and thought how much I wanted to do it but never really had the chance. I finally got my first MTB the other day and went on a nice mountain trail for my first time. I always thought I was in shape. I can run a prettt decent pace. I can do a 5k just fine. But wow. I realized how out of shape I was during the climb. I was...

8/30/2024 8:36am I just did a rattle can job. With proper prep and cleanliness it comes out looking just as good as the real deal. For the black I used Funcils black acrylic paint pens and they worked out great. Gave everything a satin clear coat and RideWrap sent over a full kit to keep everything protected. There is a full YouTube video of the paint job and build on the Better Bolts YouTube channel. As far as sanding I just scuffed the factory paint, got through most of the factory clear and then stopped. Didn't see the need to go back...
