He’s also not planning to race all World Cup races. He tells that most of the edr racers are on same as he is, except a few big names, like Jesse Melamed, that are keeping some team support but at a way smaller scale. Exactly, it's pretty cringey that a bunch of grown-ass men are dragging this kid on the internet just because an anonymous rumor says his parents are kicking in some cash to give him a chance to chase his dream. The kid obviously has some talent and happens to have parents with higher than average means. How is this different than sending your kid to an elite ski academy? Reece on Gamux is exciting - gonna get that $100k!

yeah, she was also riding a Canyon sender later in the season.. I'm surprised we don't hear more about her. She was not 16 yet but is already super strong, already batting the top positions with Elite. She is the female version of Asa. it blew my mind that nobody had scooped her already.. sounds like the big teams are not paying enough attention to US racing...🤔

in the broadcast, ric (i think) said loris had moved to andorra. that could be for any number of business/tax reasons alone, but gives the commencal rumors some weight. as for red bull events, most are invite-only IIRC, so it doesn't seem like team X could focus on hard lines (for example). crankworx aren't red bull events.

Just a thought with changes in race team structure from WB, if the top Elite team are limiting their numbers due to costs and WB limiting general access, many of the Elite team don't have female representation. So, this will limit the fields of Women in the sport. I'm not saying that team should be forced to add female riders, but without that, it may in a roundabout way decimate the female classes, just when it's been growing so well, and the racing is the best it has been for a long while. Spesh Gravity, Mondraker, Atherton, Giant, Frameworks, Gravity...

Don't assume, likely to be at Hoevenberg?? Whiteface is over 45 minutes from Hoevenberg, they use the same TV crew/cameras to broadcast XC and DH, logistically this will not work. Going to be interesting to see how this evolves. Not sure Hoevenberg has the terrain. Whiteface would not be from the top, I think WB wants sub 4 minute courses for broadcasting so only time will tell. Excited for more rounds of DH, sucks no Ft Bill but that does not mean gone forever.

Rode a few laps on the new Schwalbe Albert radial tyre. It was bikepark so can't really comment on grip. But the main reason I'm writing is to warn you that finger tyre pressure checks won't work on this tyre with radial construction! At 25psi it feels way softer than the front kryptotal at 19psi, same volume and similar casing.

My problem with OChain is that its not expensive enough. It needs an electronic lockout that connects to my ANT+ power meter to know when I'm pedalling and when I'm coasting. Or maybe a built in accelerometer so it knows if I'm pointed uphill or downhill. Whatever makes it more expensive.

yeah even richie said the time gaps were tight, but wording of bex's complaint is a bit exaggerated IMO. it's the enduro world cup, the best of the best and fittest athletes in this category, not some weekend warrior for fun event, i think the pros should be challenged. all the usual top riders seemed to be able to manage it, so please stop with "violating human rights". but that's just my humble opinion from my comfy mourning table, so can't really say what went down on site

Seems Bex needs to find some perspective, choosing to race a cycling event that no-one forced you to do, and one you can decide to stop at any time, somehow amounts to a violation of human rights? Get a grip. Last two seasons the professional EWS racers have been asking for big race days, especially as now all races are one day events. That's what they got here it looks like and racing was tight regardless. Look at how tight the men's top three was before final stage. Seems to me that those who prepared correctly for the season got...
