9/19/2026 11:27am I'd try it in high with a tiny bit more air in it and maybe slightly slower compression. You're raising your LR which makes your suspension at the wheel have a lower spring rate and less damping. It's not a big enough difference to be worth changing it trail-to-trail imo, especially if you need to stuff around with your shock settings to compensate.

9/19/2026 11:26am After. It was one of the more comical experiences I’ve had with bike links. I don’t weigh a lot and I kept having to add more and more air to get sag (near max pressure and I’m only 150 lbs). So it was obvious something wasn’t right. Went to check the machining and the simulated machined part didn’t match the modeled part despite all the tool paths being up to date. Strangely the thing cleared full travel. Bounced on it a little for the fun of it… 170 mm of travel with a 45 mm shock stroke is probably one...

9/19/2026 11:24am I just ordered one from lost co on Wednesday. Set to be here this coming Wednesday. I have been getting the ebike itch after holding out for a very long time. Was shopping around and saw they had the low end aluminum model in my size in mullet ready to ship and it’s kinda said fuck it and ordered it on a whim. Kinda glad i did cause looks like it was the last one they had in any size of that model. Will report back next week.

9/19/2026 7:24am Ya I agree, Vali is arguably the best ever female racer now, or on her way to really challenge Rachel and ACC. But Vali ain't untouchable, don't forget this time last year she still hadn't won a WC in the 2025 season. It seems the new team environment and having friends as team-mates works very well for her. But as we often have seen in World Cups these last few years, winning streaks don't last. I'm super interested to see how these lat two races go for Vali, seen as she has already won both titles this year!

9/18/2026 6:13pm I've got a question for you all that's kinda nerdy. I've got a Vala, owned it about a year and a half and have got it set up so it's feeling great. It has a progression flip chip at bottom of the vert shock (crab link) that is said to only change leverage curve. Chart below. I started tuning my...

9/18/2026 7:00am Does anyone know if Cascade will do something with the new Tallboy? It would be cool to have mullet link, especially if the 5010 is no longer a thing. Just doing my best to look for rumors for the remainder of the year.

9/17/2026 12:25pm I'm running Hayes brakes (so the hoses are bigger) and it was a pain to run the hoses, but yeah, you just do it once. Needed two people, one pushing the hose and the other pulling. But I've had bikes that were worse... Generally working on the bike, things seem pretty well thought out and quality, but I don't think it's at the level of like Santa Cruz. Stuff like STA is obviously personal preference/bike fit stuff. But yeah, it's steep, and the reach isn't super long either, so the top tube length is shorter than some other bikes. I...

9/17/2026 10:21am For the most part, batteries are 1-1.2lbs per 100wh and that rings true for the bosch lineup. The 800wh is 2.1lbs heavier and the range extender is 3.3lbs heavier... again, in line with the 1-1.2lbs per 100wh. Since the 600+250 is 850wh and the 800wh is both less wh and less packaging, it's going to weigh less. We also have steep (and long) climbs where I ride and as mentioned I do a lot of big days on the bike. 8k of elevation gain is a glass ceiling with ebikes atm from my perspective. There is no drive unit on...

9/17/2026 10:20am There was a forum member here who posted durometer tests of a few different tire compounds last year (I think). His tests showed that Conti's SS rubber was inside out (hard over soft), whereas MG is soft over hard. My experience is like the photo above, that SS tends to crack around the base, at which point it loses stability...

9/17/2026 10:14am Temp changes have a huge effect on pressure. First ride on mine I inflated them in a ~70 degree garage to 18/20, and by the time I got to the top it was 95 degrees out, and pressures had risen to ~20/22. You also lose about 0.3 psi just by putting the pressure gauge on, from pressure escaping to fill...

9/17/2026 6:54am The fact they still don't have bite point adjustment is crazy. I have freedom coast levers on both my mt7s and they are such a big upgrade because of it.
