What's maybe the most impressive part about this event is that they've managed to build a massive, gnarly track that is fully rideable in the wet. I know that seems like a basic prerequisite for holding a race in BC in October, but it was far from a foregone conclusion - especially at this scale. The tech is brutal, the jumps are HUGE...and it can be ridden with mud sticking to your tires. How cool is that?
The Asa backflip was something else, go from winning the world cup overall to sending a 97 foot backflip the dude is living the dream and redefining what a "freeracer" can do.

Ha, Warner telling Steve V not to stay out drinking the night before. Steve’s actually been riding then doing his night shift at the fire department then back riding the course.

Yeah, I don't want to watch the crash reel for that, but also wondering how the heck he managed to land to cause that injury and no others. That sucks, I was hoping he'd be able to do a complete run.

Possibly face scorpion and the forehead area of the helmet rolled forward and pushed on the top of his nose, or just went to face and nose got pressed on or tweaked from the torsion. I've had bruising on top of my nose and chest from a full face getting wrenched down in a very non-hardline speed wreck.

Dude is pretty rowdy for sure. Just posted a video hitting Megameth, which is so steep you can't even look over the edge without a rope... Definitely good enough to ride hardline but ultimately not selected, even as an alt.
Also bummed they moved the event up, and I can't miss work. However, I did take a sick day with the flu today... so if it doesn't get any better by tomorrow?...
