Aletha is going to slot right into elites next year but that course is drying out by the minute and getting faster.  Juniors dropped 1.5 hours after Q1 elite.

Based on that, I would have expected Q2 women to be faster than the Juniors then. Aletha is going to kick butt next year.

We all know the pressure is different in Elite, but that girl has kept her game wired tight this year.

Dude. Following live q2 timing. Gwin just sniped Jackson out of the top ten. Wild.

What i got from that interview was that he thinks it would be more fun if he had the time to learn how to put all the bits and pieces of trails together. I don't know what tracks he rode but maybe he's not that into jumplines and stuff.

You’d be surprised how many DH racers don’t really love riding their bikes and just like to race.

In fairness to the park, a DH bike set up for racing is dead on all the park features. I got to ride a bunch of high end bikes at Whistler & the ones set up to race were sluggish. The ones set up for the park were just a giggle fest!!!
Park setup you boost stuff. Race setup you just mush every face.

What a day, what a sport.

Big fan of Johnny Helly now. He did an amazing move in the zone I was watching that blew my mind. There were two lines and he decided to split the middle hucking off a rock in the middle 3 feet in the air. Amazing to watch.

I've heard of this before, Most of them will only do riding to keep them sharp for the big bike when required, otherwise its gym, sponsor ebikes and moto's etc

Jackson on his quali day.

By my count:  26 North American men / women and juniors qualified.  Out of a total of 75 spots.  Is this a record?

Crowd should be nuts today. Apparently it was the busiest day ever for the bike park yesterday. Seems like a lot of people planned their trip to ride Saturday watch Sunday

Great sportsmanship from Jackson cheering on the Jewett bros

Jackson is best friends w the bros so makes sense, but I've always seen him cheer for everyone out there and I think that's beautiful

Worst case scenario crash for Burke (skip to 11min) in Q1, and he still qualifies in Q2. Well done lad!
