Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
fwiw, adam (the "money guy backer") was at the venue every day moving lumber, signs, cords, spray paint, dirt, tools, boxes etc. he was covered in dirt like all the crew, in addition to hosting riders for meals and gatherings at his home. he was anything but hands-off.
I smiled when I heard Cam McCaul’s voice. I think he’s the voice of mountain biking.
Format is fun.
Disappointing lack of money guy, aside from ghostwriting the mission statement.
surprise highlight: climb stage! It was relatable and very entertaining. Goofy challenge stages are fun, more of that!
Boise seems really brown.
Kyle Strait really is a top main dude of all time.
Not quite Kasso yet but I enjoyed it. Riders seemed to be digging it too. I will watch the next one!
Unless mainstream media mention it too much. Bet ya they'd find a bunch of cash to save a PR struggle. That said I'm not saying they aren't taking care of stuff a bit, I have no insight. All I know is if you get a big enough outlet riled up like buddy Rick, money isn't a problem.
I've seen millions in the bike industry go to waste, but guess I'm talking bigger companies than yeti.
Read ONE POST above yours.

Conor fearron speaking to andrew neethling about how difficult the new format has been https://youtu.be/fEM6yk56m8Q?si=Kjxmk5nfqtpLD98c
It explains why the new young guns have been blitzing the older mid pack guys
Henri kiefer is obviously a future world cup race winner but I'd still prefer to see riders like Phil Atwill and Kade Edwards in the highlight reels
this is downhill racing, not downstyle

Mont-Sainte-Anne - 30 Years of History and Legends
The World Cup will not be stopping at Mont-Sainte-Anne in 2026, but there will be a brand new Crankworx Festival in its place.
This is a good time to look back at the important role this venue has played for our sport, via the documentary “30 Years of History and Legends,” produced in 2025 to mark the 30th edition of the Mont-Sainte-Anne MTB World Cup:
How is it that The Great Algorithm In The Sky, Including all of VitalMTB, took until midday Tuesday to inform me that there was a thing called Crankworks Rotorua 2025. Great to know. I guess I'll go find out who won the downhill. Or perhaps the Slopestyle in good time? Did Big Monster take over in the night and all things Red Bull disappear? Is my tinfoil hat too tight?
Huh
Rotorua has only been a stop on the Crankworx world tour since 2015, so not very long and makes sense that you've missed it.
it popped up in my YouTube front page yesterday Big Bird—you’re not alone!
Thank you brother! Thought I was hallucinating?
Yeah. Ten years on and I've watched it all along. One random notification would have been polite.
Healing vibes to Fabien Barel - not the kind of off-season news drop we were looking forward to, but here we are. Get well soon Fab!

THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE PLAN
Life has its way of reminding us how quickly things can change.
During a recent test session, I had a heavy crash…The kind of crash that knocks you out and leaves you with no memory of what happened.
The impact left me with several fractured vertebrae, a strong head trauma, and multiple contusions. I spent few days in the hospital undergoing checks and scans, surrounded by incredible medical staff and the support of those close to me.
I’m now back home, slowly getting back on my feet.
The next weeks will tell us if a neck surgery is needed…but I am confident it won’t be!
The road ahead is long, but I’ve always believed in moving forward, step by step, with determination. The mindset is crucial here…Believing in Life, believing in yourself…and that everything happen for a good reason!
I am different today, than I was yesterday, and than I will be tomorrow but one thing is sure…I will never give up. 💪🏻
Thanks for all the love and support. It means the world.
the episode we've all been waiting for. So glad Bruni got these amazing editors for this season.
Ending was actually gut-wrenching. Felt like a movie. Cool to see Super Dad now tho
this series, the norco vids, sleeper edits and Cole Nelson's work have all been really good this year.
I can't wait for the Sleeper docs before next season. If you have any info on who they worked with most this season I'd looove to know lol
The Amaury ones were great but I'm not sure they'll ever be able to top the Reece one. That one just had the perfect amount of ups and downs and what not.
I think Sleeper were shooting with Trek a bunch this season. I made an auto playing YT playlist of all the rounds this year so it's like a season wrap vid. When you watch it that way you realize they sure do like filming Gracey's hair. lol
stoked to watch loic vid! also, here's some killer #USDH going on in TN right now (POV from Wildside)
anti-Brunites Begone! That was great. The guy is an all-time top level pro, regardless of sport or era.
LB!
With Snowshoe closed until May, Wildside is looking mighty good!
Any chance he posted a pic of the hematoma? My right thigh is still bigger in a pair of slim pants a decade later from a WindRock slam.

DAMMIT BIZUTCH!!!1!!1!!1! cut that shit out.
I had a similar one... except it happened up above my waistline on my side from slamming down onto the top of a wooden wall ride.
Do you know where all the blood flow and purpling eventually migrates to when you get that level of hematoma above your waistline? Yeah... I didn't either until I was in the bathroom and looked down to find my junk's coloration looking very similar to bizutch's photo. I was on the phone with a doctor friend immediately. Evidently it's totally normal... but really disconcerting.
100% rattling. Happened to me as well.
The bummer is the swelling goes to the giblets & not the neck bone, so not even the missus could be bothered to see that mess.
Like a toddlers sock w/ 2 racquetballs shoved in it.
I had a very similar slam at windrock, slammed my right hip. Of course the swelling happened the same way the next day, but to make it even more awkward in my panic about my member being black I called my dad because he's a retired firefighter paramedic and free medical advice is free medical advice. Was definitely an awkward one, told me to walk it off unless I noticed a couple of things getting worse. That was March of 24, still can see the bruise.
We can all compare our crashes to Bruni's but there is one key difference - he is an athlete at the top of his sport, and needs to listen to his body, as its his tool. He cant be still thinking about a bruise in two years time, he needs his body to work every single day; which is why I think he did the right thing and nobody can take that away from him
