I kind of feel this layout might be the next crab. It opens up the space for a water bottle even more than the vertical shock orientation and it stresses the seat tube to a lesser degree, instead loading the top tube which can be bigger/stronger than the usually very defined seat tube.
Hayes Dominions are on the market for a while now nd after trying some other brakes they are the one I keep coming back to. I wonder if anyone heard anything about Hayes jumping on the Mineral Oil trend as well? Or maybe a new version with minor updates like tool free bitepoint adjustment…
How does everyone want to celebrate once we hit 1000 pages on the thread? I was thinking maybe we could all go to Chilis and share a Triple Dipper. lmk.

I think they will release a Bosch version of the Rise…Something tells me we won’t be seeing a new engine from Shimano anytime soon. Based on recent patent applications, it looks more likely that they’re working on a motor gearbox unit. But again, this is all just rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.

The image suggests it's still Shimano. I'm not sure the Bosch gen 5 system lends itself to making a quasi SL version the same way the Shimano system does. What is interesting it that it looks like it has an electronic dropper power directly from the bikes main battery which is cool.

You don't need to caveat that stuff posted here is rumour, that is why we are here brother.

So now we get to drop the motor when we need to fuss with that end of the dropper cable? Joy of joys, we've come full circle to when droppers were fresh and you had to pull a press fit bottom bracket to install them.

last time i checked, wires have, like cables, 2 ends and are probably plugable
Axle mounted on chainstay vs seatstay also. They had to put caliper there to keep the same Anti rise as the current bike
I don't think the anti rise will be the same as the old bike as they have essentially inverted the whole linkage, so the brake is on a different "bar" now, it probably won't be different in a way that matters or is perceptible to us mere mortals.
I think when I tried to recreate it in linkage, the main big difference was that it lowered the initial leverage rate, which is something a lighter rider like Loris would probably benefit from.
New Orbea Rise?

Correct. And there are a few other bikes with this layout out there as well. Therefore me saying I feel this might be the next crab.
new shimano motor etc

A better angle of the UDH rear end...
And how about that caliper placement...
You can still choose between 200 and 220mm rotors...
Is this a new Boxxer I see....... 👀
Bit of a Girth merchant that rear end
Other than the stickers, doesn't look like the new one that was spotted.

We should talk about chainstay length to celebrate
Assuming we make it that far, let's adopt a crab.
Looks slick but is worse to adjust, harder to machine the posts if needed.
Doesn't the bridge of that Boxxer look new? It looks much smoother.

Wild that they chucked the cables in the headset AGAIN
no electronic dropper bulge though, that thing is clean af

They have both seatstay and chainstay pivot options since basically the beginning of the V5 platform. Not much new here in that regard.
Nino Schurters custom racebike for his last race is sporting a blackbox rear derailleur. New updated XX SL with the same battery placement as the GX?

Most likely just the S1000 with a XXSL Carbon Cage and Clutch
