Yes, Mondraker likely on the same type of deal as Muc Off was last year.... Season 1: Start with brakes and drivetrain. Season 2: Include Rockshox
Switching brakes + suspension in one off-season is a huge ask for a rider now adays with how competitive racing is. It can be done, but I'm sure teams are very hesitant. Small teams take what they can get and adapt, but we're talking about 2 of the top teams in the paddock. They can push back more on sponsors and say, "OK, we'll switch the SRAM/Rockshox, but need to phase it in over 2 seasons".
I think it also depends on when the deal gets done. If the deal is signed in August, and they can get the riders on the new equipment the day after the last world cup in October, they can likely be 100% adapated and ready to race in spring. But the way these deals work, it might not have been signed until December. Then it's winter, and hard for norther hemisphere riders to get lot of training time in, etc. So there would be more pushback for switching EVERYTHING in a few months.
You can see Ronan is running mavens and xo stuff with fox suspension. I could imagine it would be tough to do the full swap before hardline or as the season kicks into full swing

BK isn’t listed as manager of Pivot Factory on the UCI website?
UCI doesn’t allow the same person to be team owner and team manager? So I think he’s said he’s only “cough” the owner.

Still no announcement from yeti bikes about their DH team, pretty poor marketing from them……
is it though? it's looking like they're gonna be a wild card team (nttawwt), maybe they didn't want their announcement to get lost in all the other noise? and now hardline? we're still here talking about it...

The UCI doesnt allow the same person to be team manager and rider at the same time.
a) That's not the new Orbea DH bike. That's just a Rallon with a dual crown. Photos from the orbeafmdracing 'gram show riders eying up a bike with a very differently shaped top tube and head tube, as well as internal cable routing that enters the frame closer to the head tube (probably better suited to use w/ a dual crown).
b) That kind of discussion would be probably better for the Tech Rumors thread.

A) I didn’t say it was a new type of bike
the photo is taken from a screen grab of his crash at hardline today …

Damn that's absolutely brutal to see Cash was getting a factory ride this year. Keep fighting brother. Praying we will see you back in the start gate one day.

Richie is listed as part of the Enduro team, but the caption on their Instagram post says, "Richie Rude is shifting his focus in 2025 [...] After his fourth World Cup overall title, Richie will return to DH aboard the Yeti Special Projects DH..."
“With Rude’s planned absence from select Enduro races, the 2024 Enduro UCI World Cup Overall runner-up Łukasik will lead the Yeti / FOX Factory Enduro Team.“

Sounds like dh is the priority for RR.
In the press release they indicated he wants to do the Enduro Worlds, but it does sound like he's going to do all DH the rest of the time.
It’s so so so fucked that Cami could potentially not be racing world cups this year. This new rule change really puts riders on the back foot for negotiating contracts and also really hampers top riders wanting to put together their own program.

She’s in the Top 50 and as long she stays in the top 50 she can race.

Where do the top 50 privateers pit.
While Yeti have never had anything more than ez-ups and a van at European races for a long time. I'm sure there'll be room at all venues for teams of top ranked riders. Until now the venues seemed to be able to accommodate 400+ riders. And WBD also provided a privateer 'tent' at some races.
Cube is the only team that applied for a combined category team XC/DH. As they ranked 15 in XC, I assume they found their in for DH.

For anyoone who follows garvel or XC..looks like Keagen Swenson got picked up by Velocio..

Richie Rude - DH, that's the main thing 😁

BK being the owner and having someone help with team management duties so he can focus on riding abit more has got to be helpful on race weekends..

Interesting!
So Richie is listed on their Enduro team not the DH team?
Also they still have an E-Enduro team!

Is that it then ? Nothing else to hear about now ?
That was fun ...see you in a few months for the 2026 thread 👍👍

I’m curious if Mick Hannah is still with Yeti. He’s not listed on the ebike team…
Off on sick Mick leave?
