People talking about what Gwin might get paid on a "factory" team vs Gwin Racing are missing the point that Gwin Racing is exactly the same organisation as IFR was last year with Dak replaced with another younger, probably cheaper rider. He's been the team owner for a while. He's a good businessman and I'm sure he'll have some lucrative component and frame sponsorships lined up for the team to make sure it is well funded and he gets paid what he's worth. Intense is off the table. Not being IFR anymore confirms this. Frameworks is tiny and can't afford...
