Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
lol @ the issues with Taiwanese rider name
The guy is pretty high up there in the ranks - rooting for him!
Ed Bull media entertainment from day 2
Ranked 53rd (which I also believe includes Junior men) is really cool, there must be a lot of points paying rounds in Asia as I had not seen his name in previous World Cup races.
doing all we can to help 🤑
Anyone has an idea about live coverage outside US and AUS?
What venue will the race be televised in the US?
Looks like he got the bulk of his points from a 2nd the Asian Continental Championships and winning the Chinese Taipei National Championship.

He told Wyn on his track walk vlog that he mainly rides enduro, it'll be interesting to see how he stacks up against other riders.
How to watch the DH
Junior final results here: https://www.vitalmtb.com/news/news/results-world-champs-junior-downhill-finals. Go #USDH! 👊
This is fun, Asa wore Neko's snapped-chain World Champs socks for his run:
The most mythical socks in usdh?
Snapped chain.
No pedal.
Good run.
Twice.
Here me out...those socks are cursed. 🙃

Bruni cooked em again.
Dak barely sliding into the field of 80.
Pinky putting one DOWN!!!
Sik Mik did a run???
Bruni's mental game is just bonkers, what a hero.
Hope Danny can keep the pace into tomorrow, we all know he should have gotten a better ride coming into the season.
Drama if proviteer Daprela gets onto the podium tomorrow? Not much love between him and Loic, to say the least.
Still think this is a Pierron track, looking forward to the debriefs to hear if something went wrong or he took it easy or has some kind of strategy.
Also Wilson almost top 20 on a track and conditions that I wouldn't think are his favourite, glad the speed and confidence are back.
That's Dan and he's awesome 👍
From what I understand Dak was protected and start position is determined by points... so literally nothing on the line (though clearly he had some kind of issue prior to first split, since he was far back already at that point).
Some cool bike checks and more practice shots from yesterday.
Vital RAW from today. HERO dirt.

Sik mik went down lightly in the last split, cost him 5-7 seconds or so.
I have said It before, i dont get why we dont get better news from the media guys there, always depending on rumours to find wheter people crashed or has a mechanical...
because "mtb media" means photographers. So they're scattered across the mountain capturing visuals. There's no post qualifiers debrief/press conference they can get all the 'what could have been" interviews at. Racers scatter across the venue, not to a single locker room to change & clean up.
That is a good suggestion though. A post run media availability tent for post qualifying interviews. Riders MUST go in and be made available for 10-20 minutes to media if in the top 20. Top 60 have an auto-invite but not mandatory.
Gets you face time if you're up and coming to attend.
Start 30 minutes after the last rider crosses the finish.
Top 10 file in for 10 minutes. Clock dings.
Next 10 in.
Media would thin out after top riders are made available.
1 hour interview session.
Done.
The lack of media coming out of MTB World cups is pretty shocking when compared to something like Supercross.
There needs to be some media outlet that is collecting quick post-run interviews and then summarizing that in a 5 minute video after every day of the event.
Similar to what Wynn is doing, but every day, more professional, tighter <5 minute edit. Like a TV broadcast does on location from the sporting event. "Here's the latest from there ground here in ____________. So and so crashed, so and so got a flat, so and so is upset with the safety of the course, so and so says they had a bad run today but know what they need to do to win tomorrow, etc. etc."
It's like a media blackout until Wynn TV drops and not everyone has 60 minutes to watch a full video.
I think that Fast Attack or whatever it's called--the French show, is good because they seem to do recaps every day of big events.
GOAT DOING GOAT THINGS
holy crap!
The World Cup Series itself has been putting out solid coverage around each event this year, including some post-run interviews, pre-race press conference, rider interviews or highlights, etc. Not to say there isn't room for improvement, and I'd love to see a press conference after races like the Monster Downhill Series has been doing.
I'm with the comments, if only a photographer or two could go around the pits doing 30s interviews, then they could play them over their photos in some kind of slideshow. If they have nice photos but no audio, then just play the same muzak track for about 15 years. I can't believe no one has tried this before.
That's exactly what Misspent Summer's Views posts are, here's one: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_S_t2gMq47/
i think he was making a joke about old vital slideshows LOL.
