Those are actually very nice looking. How many years did it take someone to make a visually appealing carbon crank? The only other one that comes close are the RF era's and I still only thought they were alright.

Has been done years ago. In contrast to the Hope ones, they are also really light.

Any chance the UCI prototype rules will force a limited run of frames to be built (BUILD IT SPECIALIZED)? Or have Specialized Gravity and Pivot been given a bit of a free pass in the context of the struggling bike industry?

Bruni said on "making up the number's" podcast that it wouldn't be in production until 2025.

Are those solid machined chainstays on the norco dh prototype?! Could be milled out on the underside I suppose?

They're hollow/machined on the inside facing the tire. The PB core bike article has a clearer photo.

The seat stays are but the chainstays look solid to my eyes?

I'd be shocked if they were solid. Could be machined out from the bottom.

it's almost like the thumbnail in the most popular section below of the Mt Saint Anne Pit Bits is having a "oh hey look at me" moment right now.

they're hollowed from the underside. https://p.vitalmtb.com/styles/full_size_1600/s3/photos/users/94/photos/2023-10/20231004_UCI_DH_WorldCUp_MSA_Z4A8885.jpg?VersionId=GD5PYSm.s_txwueyf0DM.olf8zCbzwjq&itok=2o1SDJV0

**edit - one of you cool cats embed that picture.

Hearing maven release very soon and first batch is special red splatter only. Claiming can run smaller rotors and still more power than other top brands but wait to see about that

That would be super lame if you can only get the red colour to start, any intel when black will be available?

No comments on the Raceface Era wheelset? My assumptions would be an updated carbon rim on their vault hub?

Spotted out on my local trails this past weekend (Feb 17th-18th) looks to be of the new Norco Sight (sorry for the blurry spy shot). Looked to have been being ridden by a shop employee so I’ll see if I can poke some more information as there’s a few Norco shops here on van island. Shares the same design as the purple design above (no changes it looks like from that). Should be dropping really soon as they have the ride aligned sizing / information label printed on the top tube.FF31F945-E2B6-4741-A548-0C3D7816C0D2.jpeg?VersionId=l5VIMMJgumU48oMcWJvqUdCh1rektqx

20th of March, some limited edition red splatter that will come with different size rotors up to 200, they don't recommend 220, 18.5 and 19mm pistons, mineral as we all now, claimed 50% more power than codes, bold statement imo

I have seen a prototype been ridden in Finale at the beginning of the year paired with the Dual Crown Enduro Fork. Looked like a finished product just missing the decals. I asked the rider about it but he was kinda secretive about it.

Considering codes have fvck all power I can see that being easily possible 😅
