My experience with tiz is patchy. Sometimes I can't get it to load at all. I was stoked to be watching the Lenzerheide men's finals for free when the stream stopped (at the request of Discovery apparently) with 3 riders to go. They did have the full replay up the next day though.
The news I'm really waiting for is whether anyone at the BBC had the good sense to take Warner up on his offer to commentate for free. Probably too much to ask though.
Yeah I get what you mean, if it gets stopped you need to reload the page after a few sec and it should come back.
Agree it's not perfect but I'm in a country where the rights-buyer is only interested in the Men's XC race because MVDP is racing, and won't show DH live, so Tiz it is for me..
There is a great top to bottom run in Adam Brayton's latest vlog. He attaches the camera to the bars. I'm not sure if this is a weird British Cycling Federation rule popping up again or a stylistic choice. Either way I like it. He does get tore up at the end. IF you are squeamish about that stuff don't worry though he was nice enough to put a warning before that part. He doesn't show the crash and nothing really happens in the video after that part so don't feel bad about tuning out.
I would say he is probably a no go for the race, but it is odd though, I don't see Adam on the UCI entry list anyhow.

Bummer. I kinda knew I was hoping against hope that someone at the BBC would do the right thing. No great surprise to me that the UCI would stoop this low.
Looking at the schedule, there's only 4.5 hours of practice available before qualifying for the male elite. Such a short time period to get up to speed.
So what are we thinking with Rachel Atherton? She won a round then couldn't recover for the next round so took the rest of the season off.
Were I in her shoes, I would have just sessioned Fort Bill every (other) weekend since then, she obviously still has the speed and skills to win, but missing the strength and endurance. If her bike is setup purely for this track and she has most of her lines sorted ahead of time (difficult due to course rework, but still) wouldn't she be the favourite for the win?
She needs to walk around the pits in a fake rainbow jersey T-shirt with "world's fastest mum" or "World champ on the weekends, mum the rest of the time", just to put added pressure on Valentina to increase her odds of crashing out.

Other than Junior Women it appears that virtually everyone who makes a complete qualifying run will be in the finals. Protected riders, of course, only have to roll out of the starting gate.
- Men Junior: 52 riders on start list. Riders ranked 1-60 qualify for the final (per UCI).
- Women Junior: 32 riders on start list. Riders ranked 1-15 qualify for the final.
- Men Elite: 82 riders on start list. Riders ranked 1-80 and the protected riders who started qualify for the final.
- Women Elite: 37 riders on start list. Riders ranked 1-40 and the protected riders who started qualify for the final.
[I have no idea if riders can be added to the start lists before qualifying begins, or if these are the final numbers.]

It looks like they might have red flagged everyone after about the 10th starter, maybe due to a wreck in the final sector. I assume the riders who were already on the course will need to restart?
This many Junior Women is the best thing happening to DH in the last few years, I remember the sad times of only a few per round, and it was not long ago.

With the junior men and elite women fields not reaching their quota, maybe they should let a few more of the junior women race in the final? I don't seen much of a downside, and it would give these young women a little more experience on the world stage, hopefully helping to get larger women's fields in the future.

It turns out that UCI has made Women Junior the same as the other groups: Everyone who posts a qualifying time will be in the race finals. (There are no Protected junior riders.) The Women Junior field will include 29 riders.

Goldstone is out then.. hmm...
Yes, Jackson Goldstone is out of the race, still hasn't recovered from his appendix surgery.
Early course preview from Gamux as usual:

I'm guessing this is legal but it sure seems like a crappy thing to do...
