Mind sharing how tall you are? Just to get a feel for how much reach you run vs. size. Also, regarding the rims, no issues with the shape of the tyre running a somewhat narrow rim (considering the WT casing was designed for ~30 mm rims...)?
EX511s are 30 internal. Unless the thumbnail isn’t accurate and he actually runs 471s, didn’t watch the video

Not really! I was worried to run the 2.5 on the front but I didn't notice any issues, and because I run DHR2 on the rear I am able to run a 2.4 if I'm running the 471 in the rear. Honestly, I still haven't found my perfect wheel setup/choice yet. Still testing, still learning.
I came from 2.4 Maxxis on 33mm inner width rims, to 2.4 Maxxis on 23mm rims. Almost no issues regarding traction and the tire’s shape. Bu did notice the real reason for the rim change (actually complete wheels’ change) - some 750-760g down on weight!

Did he actually measure if and how much time he was losing on the pedal sections? And how would they determine its because of the extra weight? These things can be measured in a number of different ways without much difficulty these days......

Amen. I was really hyped when I saw that Formula was working on that dual crown selva. Dual crowns for enduro make so much sense, but I'm pretty sure there's only one option on the market right now, which is the MRP Bartlett.
On the off chance that somebody from Formula is just lurking on this forum, please show the enduro dual crown some love! It's been over a year since the projected release date...

Slightly off-topic but I remember happening upon some old MTBR/Ridemonkey threads referencing a "5-bar" Passion model from Sinister that apparently had a variable axle path (they called it Variable Suspension Technology). From what I can gather it depended on the chainstay physically contacted a bumper that engaged the shock linkage, but a different thread with Frank the Welder explaining it more in depth no longer exists. Sounds absolutely crazy but I don't think it ever went to market; it'd be pretty sweet to see someone mess around with that today.

Very interesting concept. I haven't fully thought it thru so I could be wrong, but it looks like it'd have a different leverage ratio depending on the angle of force applied to wheel. So a vertical force (like from a huck to flat) would have different kinematics than hitting a square edge step where the force would be upward and rearward. Intuitively it seems like it would make the bike less predictable. And that's before you consider effects of braking forces and chain growth. There's a whole lot going on there.
Is it just me, or the Demo proto has a reaaaaally steep effective seattube angle?
It's only effectively steep at the low height of the saddle. If it was raised to a pedaling height like you'd do on a trail or enduro bike, the effective sta would not be very steep.
