I think the Optic as a (lets call it a mid HP, idler bike) has been in the works for a while now, provides a very different experience to the new Fluid, which is essentially an alu version of the current Optic. I like this idea (recognizing its not for everyone) a hard charging, stable feeling, short travel bike that can be pushed.
I think theres enough variety in Norcos range of bikes to pull it off
Maybe the Sight stays as is, with some slight geo changes.

Not really sure that what suits Neko in a race bike, has any bearing at all to others wants in a trail bike.
Rhys Verner seems fairly comfortable on his Druid, to race it competitively. He might have gone faster on something else, but has at the very least proven hes fast n the new Druid.

towards the end of the video, the mondrakers of cink and McConnell, and terpstras ghost have axs reverbs, but are allegedly controlled with an axs blip switch. Terpstra says this explicitly and she runs it on the right, the mondraker you see it on the left hand side.
Officially i believe this doesn’t work, so either there’s a new blip button; or they are using the blip for one shift, and one of the right hand control buttons for the dropper.
Moving the sight to HP is silly IMO. theres a couple of things to tidy up the sight like higher stack, more progressive curve & Threaded BB on the carbons. - I havnt seen any failures so maybe a diet for them aswell?
i personally would also like a mulletable one. Id buy a new sight with the above changes, even just the stack and curve update.
They are using the blip box with original blip buttons. The new wireless blips don’t work on the reverb.

I would expect way cheaper than push, more in line with ext and fast. If they managed to get the price down to bos/novyparts or formula level, it would sell like hot cakes no doubt, that might a bit too much to ask though.

Out of curiosity, why do you think it'll be way cheaper than Push?
I'd assume Push pricing is much higher relative to EXT in Slovakia than in the US. Here they are roughly the same price (for shocks at least; we'll have to wait and see on the Push fork).
Lok v3 is $999 and the Push is $1599 - I wouldn't call that the same
I forgot the new Push got a hefty price jump, I think the old one was around $1300 or so, which was certainly closer (now that I'm thinking about it, it seems like the Storia is actually somewhat of a bargain now but that's a discussion for elsewhere).
Trek Slash is going to be a high pivot this year.
This is wild, Milan Vader replaced the shock and link w/ a rigid strut for XCC today and will (presumably) switch it out for a shock/link set-up for XCO.

By that logic they'd have to ban shocks with full lock out?
Do the bikes have to be identical between xcc and xco or can components be changed?

The rules say you have to use the same bike but afaik they don't define at which point it becomes a different bike. (For EDR the fork, rims and front and rear triangle of the bike get stickered and you take a 5-minute penalty if you swap them out).
I'm all for pushing the rules like this, just don't know how the UCI is gonna react (and if it's even the UCI or ESO who makes the call in this case).
I wonder how much those flex stays can actually help with chassis stability..?
Top bike is definitely a new Giant of some sort, seat tube shape is very different to anything they make at the moment, and the top tube looks almost flat.

also a good look at the clamps in the new Boxxer. I wonder if the material is removed for weight or flex character, or both?
