that seat tube looks a bit lower?

I imagine the enduro is just going to get the ol 'tune up treatment. Probably adjustable headset cups, lil steeper and lil shorter seat tube / deeper insertion. suspension tweaks. wish they'd ditch the trunnion.

Has anyone heard anything about them doing a longer axs dropper when all the new stuff drops?  I’d love to buy one and just swap it between my two bikes, but the lack of a 200mm option, i just can’t do it yet.

Sorry but - no.  There's no similarity in the type of damping.  A wheel is unsprung and dynamic where a Rider in this unique situation is having natural riding oscillations being damped.  It's complimenting an existing riding position as opposed to absorbing terrain.  Suspend The Rider.

Personally, I've been able to ride an STR and the sensation is that of having massive rearward axle path. In rapid and repeatable mannerisms, the rider / bike system are propelled forward upon harsh impacts.

As a wheel suspension adaptation, there'd no longer be preloading of the bike and lateral loading of seat stays would bind the damper.  The STR has a seat mast which continues to function as, reamains identified as, and is tasked as a simple seat post.

A rear wheel quickly finds itself overwhelmed, requiring articulating suspension and a skilled rider whose then seeking to be whelmed.

Agreed, it’s basically a giant unified rear triangle like TREK and GT and many others did in the past and we all know how well that worked…

Well, just because it’s not a good idea doesn’t mean some big company might still not implement it 😂

it works for gravel because the suspension travel is very short compared to Mtb and because it only really works when sitting down on the saddle and pedaling. It’s technically more of a vibration isolation than a suspension in a way…

I guess it might be viable for a XC marathon racing hybrid hardtail kinda thing but beyond that, for anything more long travel, when you stand up you actually resist the movement of the suspension, especially for small bump sensitivity, which is rather counter productive.

I thought I saw a bottom bracket pivot in that specialized pic though, could be mistaken

Does your weet-bix packet mention anything cable actuated?

push elevensix S feature here - https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/push-releases-generation-3-their-elev…

mostly new internals with tweaks to adjuster knobs. existing "R" shocks can get swapped out to new bits for $160. shock price is $1600.

R (left) vs S (right) visual comparison

elevensixRvselevensixS

price is insane....  better to pickup a used one and have it modded for $160.  Or just buy the new RS and save yourself 1k.

XX/X0 almost certainly only wireless
GX will likely have a cable actuated option

Price tiers:
XX
X0
GX (AXS)
GX (Cable)

This coupled with the suggested timeline sure sounds like I'll be riding a shimano drivetrain after 15 years...
