I read this as being a completely separate entity to the enduro Nukeproof factory team…. Which doesn’t really make sense given the two series have a fair bit of crossover this year with DH and enduro races at some venues?
I know Sam Hill has also hinted at a potential World Cup DH return, will that be on some form of bastardised DH version of the enduro team? The only difference seems to be conti v Michelin tyres?
Two totally different teams - i believe the factory in the Conti team is the 'Conti' part of it, it's not a factory Nukeproof team. At all the races they are in Conti pits - it seems Nukeproof is just a frame supplier to them.

Enduro team run all the nukeproof brand components rather than another brand. Also enduro team running nukeproof wheelsets rather than dt swiss
Someone said about Jack Moir wanting to ride DH instead of enduro , remember he only took the canyon enduro deal because he got ousted by Gwin , would be a bit special if he teamed up with Sam Hill on a Nuke DH all Australian team ! ,and they both ride for Monster Energy, you never know!

jesse if you’re reading this, what were some of the factors that made you move from a winning setup to something completely new?

A winning setup doesn't last forever...I made the choice that I thought would bring me success for many years to come. Canyon has a bigger commitment to racing and winning and I've always felt I wanted a little extra help to go even faster.
I recorded a podcast with Downtime last week so that should be out soon and explain some more.

I should have written "...wants to race DH too..." so not full-time but in addition to EDR whatever the hell it's called now.

Mr. Moi Moi , Kasper and Angel seem to be like the only ones left. Seems to be something going on with the Specialized Enduro team too since they haven't released their team roster yet. Saw somewhere that Transition is putting together a "Factory" team... That still has to be announced.

Kasper: YT (seen it with my own eyes)

And the really cool thing about the sizing system of the Strive is that you can up- or down-size to your hearts content and choose the size of your bike by your prefered reach alone.
He likely can't size down enough on that Size Small Strive! It's massive. Medium (or larger) in most brands.

He seems to indicate he will stay on with his current road team (which as far as I know doesn't have an XC team), but they're on Specialized so he won't have to pull a Pidcock and run an unbranded frame to please sponsors.
It will be very very difficult for him to qualify if he doesn't start racing MTB this year. Slovakia is ranked 30th in the world and will only have 1 slot in Men Elite. If Sagan doesn't World Cups this year, there's no way he can overtake SVK's world cup riders.
Sagan would have to either be European or World Champion to qualify and I sincerely doubt he is good enough to win any of these right now.
Looks like Rockshox-Trek may be running Continental this year?

Interesting, was going to say maybe tristan liemere onto rockshox trek because the other day he posted the rear end of a bike with sram rotor and caliper and maxxis rubber and I thought what teams are there that run sram and maxxis that haven’t announced new people and only team I could think of was rockshox trek

I would assume he and his team are well aware of this. Will likely do a small schedule of world cups in 2023 to accumulate the points required to beat out any other Slovakians for the position. And if he doesn't get enough points for some reason and is sitting second--he/his team will likely write a big check to the top Slovakian for him to forfeit his position, thereby it goes to Sagan. I believe this happened last year with another high profile rider. Blanking on who it was.

Not exactly, he had a full factory ride with Cannondale on their new DH bike then they dropped the whole DH program and left him flapping in the wind.

moi moi wasn't ousted by gwin AFAIK, but didn't gell with the new setup (tires, suspension, brakes), had an off-year and wanted some change. unfortunately cannondale canceled their racing efforts after he was promised a ride so he took what he could get and that was canyon at that time. pretty sure canyon would have loved to keep him and surely raised the pay but my guess is YT really opened their wallet and don't know who signed who first, but jesse should also be paid well and both could've been too expensive.
Not to sure how many people actually know of this ripper being on fmd racing. Rudi eichhorn, gotten a lot of really good results in national races. Hes the right age to be doing first year juinor at the world cups this year. Might be one to watch out for being around the likes of seagrave and phoebe gale.

Also looking at both the canyon pr’s - when did Troy Lee become the worst looking kit on the scene?
Might have more to with Canyon and ”doing their thing” than with TLD. There is enough good looking kit out there, but you need to WANT to use it. I have nothing against the Caynon team, I like their riders a lot, but Canyon as a brand is one of the most boring ones out there since many years. So I guess team riders use kit that was made by TLD after the wishes of Canyon.

He has a post on his story about some special stuff and there is a bike in a stand blacked out. This is probably exactly what’s going on.
I should have written "...wants to race DH too..." so not full-time but in addition to EDR whatever the hell it's called now.
I hope it's an adjustable travel coil shock with electronic wired lockout that passes thru the headtube!

And Iago Garay too

I guess they are testing the competition. TFR supposed to be on Pirelli, but Reece posting their bikes on a shuttle hanger with Magic Marys fitted
i guess some juniors/u23 riders.

He got beaten to the first goal.
