Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
to anyone who thumbs downed you...they're uptight twats who don't know what you're referring to.
The comedy, the skepticism, the stick figure clues. It as far better back when.
Christian Textor is also on a Renthal stem and Maxxis tires which could be another hint that he will really be Moirs new team mate (on YT)
Akrigg's videos have always been more incredible to me than McCaskill & other trials technique riders. When you see him ripping trials moves at damn near race speed on trails you'd be riding every day...it just hits home more for me. To watch him is to see your trail ride differently.
I think he's just not been as mainstream as Danny or Fabio because he's not part of Red Bull Media House.
Vaea re-ups w/ rocky for 2 more years. Makes me wonder if she's still going to keep riding the Maiden or if she'll go to the Slayer-only for DH/Freeride...
Kasper off Yeti.
It's not any sort of "might be leaving Nukeproof" post. Pretty sure Hill announced recently he was continuing with NukeProof.
Each year when the new season rolls around, he's been stellar at issuing a full and complete thank you to all of his sponsors from the prior season. People each time think it's trolling hinting at a sponsor change.
The last sentence references a potential shift back to more DH races in 2023, again previously referenced.
To see Sam back in DH...yeah, that is a win for everyone. And he needs to do a Day of the Dead paint scheme on a DH rig & clothing kit.
It’s a shame there isn’t more value in what the 50:01 guys do. After downhill racing, the stuff they do is what i love watching the most. I gladly paid for their most recent video. Really wish there were more raw skate/bmx style MTB vids. MTB doesn’t have as much of a “core” audience as bmx and skate, so i get why the YT/influencer type stuff works, but would love to see a shift in content towards stuff like 50:01 vids, tea and biscuit vids, even the vital raw stuff is cooler to watch than most MTB content. Let the riding speak for itself in 2023.
Moir and Woolley on YT
The way Kasper worded his previous IG post, had me assuming that he was staying put. Interesting development...
A lot of the youngsters are heavily influenced by 50to01 and are starting to make those styles of edits. My son and his friends have all procured old school VX style cameras with fish eyes and such and are doing their filming on those instead of their iPhones. The 90s are on the way back. They also wear baggy ass clothing (JNCO is back).
Chris got famous on accident making a fixie video for fun. Danny and Fabio’s bread and butter is making trials vids that translate to everyday people. Also Danny and Fabio are still going big where Chris isn’t doing a ton of ultra high consequence stuff anymore.
that said a rider like Chris gives cred to core riders to a budget brand like mongoose. Watching Chris do what he does gives credibility to quality of a bike. I assume he’s off to another brand that wants the credibility over the view numbers.
If I'd to guess I'll say Atherton Bikes, based only on intuition. If he goes with Hope I'll neither be surprised tho'
Holy cow. It might not be the stem you need to pay attention to.
That looks like a specialized cannibal tyre!!!!
That’s a DHR2
Ok I will take my conspiracy theory and go!!! 😎
Long live Ream Tumors
Here's my completely made up Sam Hill rumour. Nukeproof factory will return to DH racing with Adam Brayton and Sam Hill (and others? maybe Mike Jones? He previously rode for the CRC team, and is now a Nukeproof supported privateer). Hill will compete in select events in enduro and DH.
Harry Molloy to Continental Nukeproof?
BK officially a KTM ambassador. Now we wait to see if he finally gets that Supercross start he’s always wanted
Good luck with that! BK can ride a dirt bike, but he's no Palmer.
Maybe they'll let him race with the KTM supercross futures.
And you're no BK. Take your lame negative comments to the other site.
Bro, seems like you've been influenced!
Mission accomplished.
Based on anything?
It looks like it's a team they are building if they're managed to get Ronan Dunne to stay, so Harry as an experienced rider/manager/coach could be a good fit, especially if Vero also comes. Harry and Chris Cummins were riding together in Morzine this summer.
Each to their own, but I think they're lucky to be able to make a living off what they do. Compare it to what BMX riders are churning out on a regular basis and the riding and production is pretty basic.
He was riding what looked to be a Nukeproof on his Instagram story, could be nothing though
KTM make MTBs as well. Now there's a possible start to a rumour ;-)
That would be because it is a Maxxis Minion DHR II and the Cannibal closely resembles a DHR II.
Actually, they don't. They are just licensing the KTM brand name to another company (which makes mountainbikes).
I’ve noticed that Ronan is on rockshox components now. Maybe they bring the factory seam team into with booker and hill and Ronan? That’s a pretty stacked team. And Louis Anne
Matt isnt wearing an 100% helmet. Looks to be tld. Brand switch?
