I actually got a MAX sub yesterday to watch the race and I was talking to a buddy who's a non-rider about the difference between Redbull and Discovery. Here's my take based on year 2 of Discovery for those that care. 1. Cameras are good and improving 2. Commentating is improving, especially with Gwin, although I'm not a Rich fan. He'd be great if he dialed a back on the quips. 3. Race format needs refined more, either get rid of Semi's or broadcast them. I think one thing that has worked against them is that they have made a lot of noise and claims about how they are improving things and growing the sport. They have then fallen short on promises made on numerous occasions. From what I remember RB never got into the habit of blowing their own trumpet, instead they just got on with providing great coverage of WC events, alongside bringing ground breaking events such as Rampage and Hardline. Don't talk the talk if you can't (or won't) walk the walk.

The coverage is only part of the issues with UCI/WBD Enduro is being sidelined, geographic spread of events is shocking, rider numbers are being cut, privateers being priced out of racing, etc.. I'm in Scotland and ESO bought out our national series then canned it without explanation, and have ignored any questions about it. The Tweed Valley EWS round had a five year contract in place with landowners and they canned that after two years. They also screwed local riders by halting a major trail development to run the XC World Champs on the site, then bulldozed what they'd built...

Reasons why Red Bull was better: 1) It was free and easy to view. 2) Because it was free more people watched it. 3) We saw more racing. Whilst the addition of Junior Finals coverage is a positive, the reduction to a 10 woman/30 man finals means we are now paying less race runs than ever before. 4) Red Bull's graphics were better. The virtual straight graphic was useful. The wiggly line graphic is pointless. 5) Some of the WBD camera position/type choices are terrible. The overhead drone shots at Ft William were like watching Google Maps. 6) Current coverage...

I don't think it's at all conspiracy theory of you. It's what I have been thinking for a while. I'm sure some marketing person at Only Fans was like, our main users are male, what else is also male dominated, mountain biking & motocross. Let's grt our name out there in front of potential customers whilst framing it as rebranding. And Lewis is getting exactly what he wants to from all of this, he had slipped off the radar before Only Fans, now people are talking about him.

Seems like clickbait. Was he "banned" from racing? Or was he told that he wouldn't be allowed to represent aforementioned sponsor while attending races? He could still go racing without their logo, no?

Lars from Transition Bikes here. Troydon (Crestline) lives about 3 minutes away from our headquarters. He's a super nice guy and joins a lot of group rides from Transition HQ. Stoked to see this, and stoked for Blenki to be partnered with someone so genuine and into bikes! Troydon is a ripper and rides a LOT. Super rad to see what he's doing, it's a massive undertaking to launch a bike company these days in such a competitive market. Also stoked to see Blenki around here, I'm sure he's bound to pay some visits.

The level of absolute shite posted here this rumour season has me sick to my stomach. Remember 6-7 years ago? Remember how much fun this was? I blame the riders for not changing teams enough.

Remember when each brand simply wanted the fastest racers, and Vital(littermag) would make the raddest slideshows about the World Cups that made you feel like you were actually there.. Simpler times perhaps, if only we knew how good we had it back then.
