Yep, piggybacking on my point earlier. I bet Neko leaving to design his own (better) frame was probably the straw that broke the camel's back at Intense and got Jeff/money people to allow new frames to be made for the team--finally. In that recent video from Neko he mentions he doesn't like any 'hooks' in the leverage curve. That's a signature of Steber's Intense VPP.

Prices look the same to me as last year after they raised the price mid year. Looking at the old bikes on CRC and Nukeproof's website they do look the same in the UK at least.

To be fair I cant imagine a scenario where somebody buying a Porsche bike checks and compares geo to something else.

What’s up with Porsche and BMW trying to make bikes and their wheels are the old cobalt, iodine, opium wheel sets. I get that they look super different but crank brothers stopped making those wheels didn’t they? where do they get these wheels from?

CRC still has a bunch of the 2021s listed and, in AUD at least, the 2022s are up 25% pretty much across the board.

Crank Bros. still have a bunch of "twin pair spoke collection" wheels on their site. Lots of different Cobalt and Iodine models.

But if they didn't...most OEM suppliers will make anything you want. I'm sure Crank Brothers would be happy to dust some old designs off if the Porsche money was large enough.

Simple, none of those asshole car designers who get commissioned to "do an ebike" has more than 0 minutes riding anything two wheels and no motor. They just go by the looks.

Shredder Dylan Crane now works Marketing for SR Suntour, a company that has its roots in drivetrain production. It's probably safe to draw a logical conclusion here.

That Archer shifter does make their system much more desirable (and more desirable than an AXS system).

I had the previous type, and it wasn't the shifter that was the big dealbreaker, it was the speed. And the speed was just horrible. I lost a lot of time in races and strava segments, as the downshifts after going fast down going straight to climb was too slow. I now have AXS on the same setup, and it is just so much better. If the Sprint batteries (overvolting for the servo to perform better) are giving a significant speed increase, I could be tempted to try this another time with the new shifter on my hardtail. But for full suspension, putting a substantial mass on the swingarm is not desirable.

Good to know, price wise it makes a bit more sense to go Archer vs. AXS (as it's transferable and the destroyed mech is cheaper), but at the end of the day, I don't see a problem with cables...

Going from three hoses and a cable to three hoses is a marginal gain Tongue

TBH, I've had AXS on the service stand and it was profoundly meh. Press a button and the shift happens. No timing of the shift, adjusting the pressure and the like possible. Might be a boomer comment, but here I am... :/

at least they stopped using hub motors.

Although for Porsche, its a way they could maintain their RR motor mount aesthetic...
