from Pure Agency, Loic Bruni stays with Lapierre
-------------------------------
Loic BRUNI will ride (again!) for Lapierre Gravity Republic in 2015!
It's official. Loic Bruni will ride for Lapierre Gravity Republic next year!
After weeks of rumors about one of the biggest transfers of the world cup circuit we can confirm that Loic Bruni will continue to ride for Lapierre Gravity Republic which is managed by Pure Agency.
After one junior World Champ title, some Elite podiums and a lot of good times with his mates, the young Red Bull rider has confirmed he wants to stay with his current sponsors and will ride the NEW Lapierre DH next year.
Gilles Lapierre :
"I'm thrilled Loic has chosen to stay with Team Lapierre Gravity Republic. We've helped him develop as a Junior to become a World Champion and now a strong elite competitor. With the new DH bike he helped to develop alongside Nico Vouilloz and our engineers, I am confident we'll see him on more and more World Cup podiums."
"I'm very proud about Loic's decision. We work hard during the year with a lot of intensity and good and bad moments, so being able to keep riders for a long term project is great and will be helpful to achieve our goals. Loic has a great maturity for a 20 year old guy and I'm sure we will soon have a World Cup victory with him. We're working together for 4 years now and I'm sure we will have more and more successes with him soon!
Our head mechanic Jack Roure will also stay with us next year. He's really important for the team due to his professionalism and serenity. All the riders and myself have confidence in him for any technical issues."
Loïc Bruni :
"I ride for Lapierre / Pure Agency for 4 years now and I've always felt great with them. I was in contact with few teams in the middle of the season but feelings are really important for me and I was afraid to lose the good ones I've got with Lapierre Gravity staff, both professionally and personally. Consequently I've decided to stay "with the family" and go again for a new project with great ambitions. Moreover the new bike is really cool and I'm sure we could improve it even more!
I will be off this winter and will get back to university before going on a trip with Jack for some testing. I will also go to the USA to meet some sponsors and see some SX races! Then it will be time to start again a new season...It will be great!"
I heard that too - it's my understanding they will be revamping the Krate for XC/AM and Stringray into their 650b carbon fiber Enduro line, and the Speedster and Middleweights will come back as a new Al freerider and a carbon fiber 650b DH'er. There was some brief conversation about adding in a fatbike to kickstart their Home-Grown series once more as well. They felt that the years of the Straight # DH bikes and the other frame names needed to be scrapped in favor of bringing back the classics with modern looks/tech. I can't wait to see the colorways (fingers crossed for vintage!)
KTM's downhill bikes have always looked like absolute garbage, let's hope they bring something clever and fresh to the table this time.
On a serious note, I agree. I think they are going to do it right, as there is now a good market for more boutique brands at a consumer-friendly price point. Being a leader in the moto world, and their platform of being able to work on their motorcycles with minimal tools/hassle would be a welcome advancement in the bike world; 4,5,6mm and you're good to go - wouldn't that be nice? Or just a 4mm? Dreaming is fun...but, I think we will be pleasantly surprised with this one (if it isn't just a rumor).
Also, it hasn't been discussed at length yet, but Ohlins is knock-knocking on the door pretty hard right now and I think 2015 will show us some tech that will change the game (just go look at Steve Jones' instagram account - spy photos!).
It would also be excellent to see more women getting high-profile support for 2015.
I have full confidence in KTM.
They've managed to make a name for themselves (even more, they managed to change their previously bad reputation) in Motocross in an impressively short amount of time.
On top of that, they're a huge company so they have the money to create THE best bike there is.
Let's just hope they had good test riders (someone gives shitty feedback, you'll have a shitty bike no matter how skilled your engineers are)

Are we sure that wasn't someone testing the KTM FREERIDE E?
KTM and KTM Bicycles are two different companies using the same KTM logo. Do we know if they licensed the KTM Racing logo as well?

It was just mentioned that Intense wants an all out assault on the WC circuit via hiring some top 5 talent. Intense is starting to make things interesting. They got the bikes, the mad man to push the team, perhaps a carbon m9 in the near future?? If they want American talent there is only Gwin and Kintner. Less they want to build american talent and start with a strong team with Troy or Hill.
Only Gwin and Kintner? Overlooking Neko Mullaly and Luca Shaw maybe?

ktm motorbikes != ktm bikes
they separated years ago and only use the same name and branding
I heard from a Little Bird that Cedric was just hanging out and talking old times with Palmer. He's still on Santa Cruz for next year. That same Little Bird also told me another huge bit of news that I just can't say until the video comes out.

It's official. The video is out. The Little Bird says that while Danny will continue to ride his Inspired hard tail, his suspension needs will be taken care of by Santa Cruz Mountain Bikes.

Not overlooking them at all, i just dont think that trek will let them go after the seasons they had. That Sunn is ungodly ugly imho...cool that they decided to take a look towards the future and say "hey were are back and planning on staying here" but i dont think that was the bike to make that statement with. Just sayin. Nice big spot for the batteries though.

NO DH MTB'S SEEN ALL DAY
they separated years ago and only use the same name and branding
But, with that said, if there is such a division between KTM Moto and KTM Bike, does this mean there is no correlation with the speculation?
