Looks like Continental are taking some inspiration from 1998 and the Michelin Comp 16 for their new prototype tyre being tested by the Athertons

That’s just the regular Kaiser. Having seen the “proutotyre” in close up photos I can tell you it’s very Minion inspired.
did any of you notice the Dropper? Considering One up has put so much effort into reducing stack at the clamp, maybe they will offer a 230mm model for the V3?
It's a bit different, yeah, the GT has a high chainstay with the chain still going between the chainstay and the seat stay. And the rocker attaches the seatstay to the frame. Standard horst link fare, just raised up a bit with an idler added.
The Norco has the horst link arrangement basically flipped upside down.

Again, it's a 34,9 mm dropper. I checked after my previous comment, the Slash has a 34,9 mm post and OneUp only has one service kit (keys, bushings and collar) regardless of the post diameter. So that's why the collar looks flush, the lower is that much thicker compared to a 31,6 or 30,9 mm post. Which also means the whole lower is thicker, meaning heavier.
Very few brands construct a completely different 34,9 mm dropper post, which is understandable, but also sad and a missed opportunity since larger bushings and a larger upper post aren't used as an advantage.
@pivaot + fazua: damn - just when I lost hope that one of the bigger brands (besides lapierre) will jump on this very interesting concept and ordered myself a forrestal. On the upside, if pivot reveals a sub 18kg e-enduro I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway.
Still highly interesting though!
Sram has some AXS labeling and stuff going through the FCC process where they have Super Deluxe Ultimate and Pike Ultimate labels in the PDFs. That and an AXS pedalling sensor that would be inserted into the DUB axle for the system to know if you're pedalling or not.
Savage.

I'd say the first. I mean it's not hard to add a button or to maybe even add a 'long press' action on the dropper remote via the app or something, but considering there's talk of the pedalling sensor, I'd say automation will be a big part of it.
And to be clear, this is not a hypothetical patent, this is an FCC application to conform to the wireless radio regulations, which means a product is finished. AXS Rival group is also in the bundle of applications and the majority of the cycling world picked up on that with the suspension stuff being barely noticed. Until now
Anyone have any insight on what Rockshox and Fox are doing with new suspension for model year 2022?
rockshox might update the debonair again imo
when they changed the equalizing point from %10 15 in to the start of travel that sensitivity old forks had is gone
fork stays higher but not as supple as old version

Back to the B1 airshaft and add 5mm to the stanchions

I would like rockshox to do something like an air spring that is in the ext fork but might be too hard to develop for mass market fork.

It's very simple actually, it's just a cartridge. What is not simple is tuning it. I'm guessing that's why dual air went the way of the dodo. It's much harder for an uneducated rider to set it up correctly than an air spring with a single valve.
Becuse of a similar reason RS doesn't have high speed rebound in their products, its just not worth it as the users didn't understand it.

Something like this?
Compared to Era this one equalizes pos/neg chamber pressure when pump is attached, but considering third chamber you still get more than enough adjustability for most of the riders...

The IRT is absolutely awesome (but lacks a touch of sensitivity) and efficient, but it is incredibly hard to find the sweet spot since the progressivity is linked to the two air-chamber pressures, which both have the operating range extremely tight...
As for the Norco, yeah, it's a 4 bar, a horst link. The axle is mounted to the chainstay with a rocker concentric to the BB.

I think they are going to stick with Shimano. For now...
