Thicker and they will move away from 203… Mentioned that a couple of pages ago, where the whole 203 vs 200 discussion was going on. Some didn’t believe it back then some still won’t. Will probably trickle down to XTR, XT,… and solve the ridiculous lever throw. Some might even say they brought the new brakes out, knowing that there’s going to be thicker rotors but still have a shit load of the 1.8 ones. But people who talk nonsense like that definitely have never worked in the cycling industry & wear foil hats. And before you‘ll go and buy...

Fresh podcast went up yesterday! We chatted with Jason Richardson, ex-pro BMX racer who has been a sports p sychologists the past 10+ years working with a lot of top cycling athletes. We actually recorded this a month ago, so I'm excited to listen to it again as we covered so many interesting topics about how to change your mindset and set yourself up to produce the outcome you're looking for—whether that is in a racing environment or just life in general. Enjoy!

More deets on new Ochain B1 - https://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/chainrings/ochain/r-chainring-sp… TLDR: SRAM has taken over manufacturing and has improved the tolerances and sealing of the system to keep stuff from getting in, increasing service intervals. They’ve also introduced an external travel adjust upgrade kit to convert internally adjustable models. And the new B1 models are only available for SRAM 3/8-bolt cranks and Bosch’s CX5 motor. No more Shimano/Race Face models. I’ve ridden one for almost three months and it has faired way better than any Ochain I’ve had in the past. No creaking, no need to clean it out yet. The elastomers...

Downhill rider entry list for South Korea (different than actual qualifying start list that should show up in a day or so). Once quali list is in, Vital Fantasy will kick off! You can join the global league now to be ready for prizes. https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy/leagues https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy/how-to-play

2 possible reasons for this: the longer i2i allows the rate curve for that suspension design to be more linear, or they made room for a 210 shock for the EVO version. My guess is the first given that both the SIDLuxe and Float SL shocks have very progressive air cans.

Really cool video, unclear if it’s Pinkbike or Charlie doing it by himself but It’s awesome to see the impact a World Cup can have on the local scene.

@notthatbryan - crazy story! and yeah, i forgot "syncopy" in the term. the human body is fascinating. re: fantasy, i think we'll keep normal timing after Q2 like last year and will discuss rider values. thanks for the input, everyone.

it was mentioned on a youtube comment that a stage of the cape epic was won on a 32" wheeled bike, so that rules out neko being the first-ever 32 winner.

add me to the list again, I always thought I had just a noisy EP8 motor. turns out it was my fidlock bottle just rattling this whole time after replacing it with a traditional bottle cage. 4 years it took me to figure this out lol what a dumbass.

Any chance we can take this ebike power rules chat to a new thread? A few pages ago it was fascinating reading about Alta's struggle and DJI's structure vs old school German power.

2026 Global League has been created. Join to be eligible for prizes - https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy/leagues We're running the same program in 2026 Game opens after receiving the official qualifying start list and add rider values (should be sometime Weds next week for South Korea) - will announce when live here and the countdown clock will show up when game is live, too. Game closes a couple hours before Junior DH finals start time (which is 11:30am local time in South Korea), so those who want to keep tabs on who makes the show, can make stronger predictions. No season overall prizes...

DJI just announced the FC200, a transport drone that can lift 600kg when working in tandem (4 drones). https://x.com/XH_Lee23/status/2047532188615454987?s=20 I'm posting this because it shows how close to the edge DJI is willing to go. From what I know, this product doesn't come close to passing FAA regs, but they don't care since it's a China-only product for (at least) the near future. As others have pointed out, culturally it's probably a good bet that DJI doesn't think about regulations the same way a company like Bosch might.

I don't see any reason to think that the v10 is going to move to UDH. Moving to UDH means giving up adjustable chainstay flip chips, and Syndicate runs Shimano drivetrain which doesn't use UDH anyway. Most people don't want or need a heavy, expensive, battery powered derailleur on their DH bike.
