USA National Champs are underway at Trestle Bike Park in Winter Park Colorado. If you haven't checked it, Vital's Instagram has a DH trackwalk with Tyler Ervin in our stories today. No significant changes to the DH aside from a couple line options opening up. Events will be broadcast through Flobikes.com (like last year) with their schedule here (slalom not live, unfortunately) - https://www.flobikes.com/articles/7599156-how-to-watch-2022-usa-cycling… USAC live timing is here - https://my.raceresult.com/groups/5075/ We'll have a Vital RAW consisting of thurs/friday practice and saturday/sunday action too.

I think the number is only "retired" for a short amount of time, if at all in MX. For example Carmichael was running #2 which is now Webb's permanent number. BTW I would like to see either permanent or annual numbers. Would make it much easier to identify riders on the track. I don't want to see a limit placed on their gear such as only one style jersey/pant setup. Adds to the races when we get to see new kits.

As a follow up to the earlier post, I am now clear of the cancer(I consumed so much green stuff)thanks to my wife’s care and cooking still got the COPD & it’s getting worse. Along with the heart it’s been scary to say the least. Probably the worst mistake was listening to the doctors telling me no exercise that screwed me worse. So it’s walking until it hurts then start walking again carrying a can of Boost Oxygen with me while walking or riding, on a bike path all this only being done with my wife being with me in...

The post on the right side which broke his back was actually a solid 4 x4 post. It was never there previous to that year and was taken down immediately after. If you lost control on the previous rough water bar section you were heading right into the sign post at high speed. The trail was an old service road that they converted into a downhill trail, but they did not remove most of the water bars even though the person involved in maintenance of the trail was encouraged to.
