it was rad that today in leogang 1, 2 and 3 ran all the sizes and were less than a second a part. here's loic's winning whip from today. https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/WINNING-BIKE-Loic-Brunis-Prototype-Sp…

Yes, because it's well-known that there are only US/CA viewers (not even sure if ESPN is broadcasted in Canada...) for MTB World Cup. It'd certainly work for USA but that's it. RedBull has the rights on a whoping lot of (great to me) sports, they earn for sure a whole lot of money thanks to their exposure, if not I...

Gwin on aluminium cranks this weekend... Wink And is he running Crankbros pedals? MTB-news clearly took the pics of his bike.

Nothing is more sped up than 'Slice of British Pie' and 'Slice of shite 2' or whatever it is called. If you have to speed it up then the footage is shit! Fact!

I want to see actual videos. No "you figure it out" games, I mean seriously - people spend all day on the Internet whining about stuff... but when it domes down to the actual why are people so afraid to link who they're calling out? Like... what's the original video person going to do to you anyways?

superview 24-30fps ND8 filter on the gopro Then in post, sped up approx 3-5% for inperceivable differences to human eyes/ears, ramp it down the same amount when in the air. Trick is to listen to the freehub sound Wink There are 2 "influencers" who definitely do the above, one who has gone too far and it's almost comedic now watching his stuff. I'll let you figure out who that is.

Did you ask Gwin for an interview or at least if you are allowed to publish it?

Agreed- changing "my mechanic" to "we" would have made a lot of this fiasco (if not all of it) not a fiasco. Much of people's anger arose from this part of his post. When we communicate through mediums where we only have text, choosing the correct words is of the utmost importance. We don't have body language, tone of voice, personal immediacy, etc. We literally just have our words and our message will be interpreted and judged solely on the words we select. The importance of this is compounded even more given that these threads/posts can stay around forever...

Exactly, the criticism of it being posted is childish and petty. Especially when it's the same outlet that has given so much favorable coverage to Gwin over the years, all the way back to the Yeti days. Its a cell phone video from a public race. It wasn't someone flying a drone over a wall and getting video from a secret test session.

Why on earth would a top WC rider have "defect" cranks from "3 years ago" laying around? Such a lame response... Own up that the jump was overshot...move on.

Gwin mixing it up in the comments on Instagram. I really take issue with his criticism of Vital for reporting this. It might be enthusiast press and not traditional journalism, but if he thinks he can dictate what gets reported on he's on another planet. I wonder how many at Vital and other outlets knew it was their job to only post positive stories on Gwin? Probably want to get all photos vetted through his team before publishing as well. Heck, have his PR people write the copy from now on. popcorn.gif for watching this blow up

That is the most pathetic thing I think I have ever read by a professional athlete on a public forum. Never mind the hypocrisy of trying to sensor the very media that gives him publicity, he should know that there's no i in team. You look beyond these things and consider how your mechanic helped you to 20 world cup wins instead. I really hope that Hall gave him the go ahead to make the post. You don't jeopardise personal relationships over meaningless stuff like that. A sad day as a Gwin fan. edited to add - having read Aarons...

Exactly. The professional response to this would have simply been "it's racing, these things happen". Throwing people under the bus and making excuses just looks bad.

I’m more upset he threw John Hall under the bus. The man is an absolute perfectionist, and there is no way a 3 year old defective part was used on a brand new build. We all know it was a squeaky clean brand new crank provided by ethirteen. Broken parts are a part of racing, call it that and move on. You can’t control the media Aaron. We are curious fans, and comments like that just further distance you from the people support your career.

sspomer Liked a comment about Feature WINNING BIKE - Martin Maes' GT Force 69er

3 reasons. 1. because 97.5 is a radio station. B. "reverse mullet" is breaking our community apart and we need to come together. III. beavis and butthead would laugh at 69er. if we need to go to court over it, our lawyers said that the "6" could come from "650b" and we'd probably have the case thrown out.

You're missing Hutchinson (with their Griffus) and Schwalbe. Don't know in which size they offer their tires, but they have skinwall ones.
