I'm honestly surprised that they haven't come out with something like a Supreme TR yet (like an alloy druid) especially given that they just gave it an update this year. I suppose the lack of sales with the Supreme SX may be a bit of a deterrence though.

You are reading WAY too much into that man. Just stating it's bad here with COVID. Someone dies every 30-seconds from it here in the US. It's scary, to say the least. But let's get back to the rumor mill!

DH racers do sit down sometimes. On pedally sections. As for the angle, I'm starting to think the optimal angle is for the seat to point towards the top headset bearing or the stem. I'm kiiiiiind of thinking it might have something to do with upper body orientation and the resulting hip rotation.

In the DH world pivoting your saddle nose up is usually used to allow the use of adequate saddle height while not having that wide chuck of plastic impeed your movement past it. To acheve the same you could slam your saddle another 3/4cm down but then the saddle would become useless at pushing with your inner tight. I'd rather have 150mm dropper with tilt than 170+mm dropper which are becoming a trend for that reason (not only but tilt is a better way to get backward movement clearance).

https://www.aenomalyconstructs.com/ Seen over on you-know-where. I'd like to try one; I think the idea has merit. The mechanism seems pretty small, so not sure about long-term durability, but it's got me curious.

Mitch could ride a shopping cart and still look more stylish than most people on a bike. Big loss for Santacruz...

It's not "new" since he have it for a few weeks or months, and no, it will not be available. Virtually nobody buyed the Inspired Skye (Danny Mac's promodel at the time) with a 3k£ tag price, so I guess nobody would be keen to pay 5k£ or more...

Santa Cruz did the same thing for Macaskill as a one-off. Doubt they would sell it to the general public.

I was told by someone who raced MX in the 90s that the main advantage of the USD forks were that the RSU forks were too long- to get 300mm of travel the lowers extended far below the front axle- think 2005 Manitou travis, but worse: This would make your fork a trench digger when you leaned over in the ruts. USD forks, since they telescope into the uppers, don't have this issue. I was persuaded that this was the main reason why MX switched to inverted.
